My point was about preflop play. Why 3bet at all if he's going to min-3bet? No, I'm probably not going to fold the QQ, even to a shove, given his short-stack but I'm certainly not folding any pair to his min-3bet. He's just making it real cheap for me to see a flop and hit a good card or perhaps fold if a K or A hit the flop.

If he had posted the hand, all of FTR would tell him to 3bet bigger.

Well, precisely because his stack is so short, you don't have the correct odds to set mine here. I am not saying at all that his min 3b is a good play, but calling with any pair if you put him on, say, QQ+ for 3betting, does not make you money in the long run because of the lack of implied odds resulting from his short stack. If he had about $5 behind, it would be OK to set mine in position.

Yea, I know. I figured someone would point that out. I usually go by the 20x rule. I guess the real reason, in this case, is that it was "just .30" and because when I see someone min3bet, I assume they're a bad player. So why not play along and take advatage of that. I didn't 4bet since that may narrow his range to hands that beat mine. If the flop had been J-high, he may have doubled up. He had the better hand, but I got lucky. On the other hand, if I had 22-JJ preflop, I probably would have folded to a standard 3-bet size of 3-4x. Unless, of course, we both had big stacks.

We also need to be aware that a shortstack is going to be more likely to shove once he makes a bet or when we make a bet or a raise, so we don't want to be surprised when that happens.

Apparently he just read up on game theory. Because he has the worst hand in texas hold'em he's decided to go ahead and turn his hand into a bluff here. And on the river he simply flipped a coin and called so I wouldn't be able to exploit him. It didn't matter if it was heads or tails...

Villian picked a bad time to bluff. I actually bet a little small on the Turn, trying to put some doubt in his mind, hoping to induce a bet. It worked this time.

It would be impossible for him to put me on my exact hand, but he should have suspected an overpair at the least.

Default Bad timing for a steal from the retard

On the last orbit, the retard saw the UTG player fold to a 3x re-raise from me. He was probably tilted because he sat down with $2 and two hands ago the big stack took him for $1.50 with a runner/runner flush.

Villian had just sucked out a couple hands earlier when he went all in w/AJo against KK and was now the table bully. This may not have been the best on my part but I knew his range was mega wide and he would put me in with much worse, didn't think quite that bad but wth!

    Default I love tards!

This tard would limp everything pre and then try to force people off their hands. After they folded, he'd show the stupidest garbage.

Then why try to push him off his garbage? Why not let him keep bluffing later streets? Good example of a bluff call though!

    GoHuskers1984 (CO): nice call
    FlowM (UTG): thx
FlowM: took ne some time to figure it out
FlowM: I put him on AQ preflop
    FlowM: or AK
GoHuskers1984: i thought he had AA KK or QQ so i was kinda sccared of the K
GoHuskers1984: otherwise i was gonna draw on him too :P
    FlowM: actually
FlowM: it was kinda a stupid call
FlowM: but I end up as a hero
GoHuskers1984: you had 5 outs, with implied odds it's proably a good call
GoHuskers1984: i guess if you had him on AA
    FlowM: well
    FlowM: didnt know
    FlowM: bout my outs
FlowM: since he may have gad
    FlowM: had
    FlowM: KK
    GoHuskers1984: haha well he didn't!
    FlowM:
GoHuskers1984: and at this point i suppose that's what is important
    FlowM: true that

    keep playing, guys... SOLID!

FWIW, the flop call is not good, even with implied odds, even if he knew for sure I have no set.

I'm still waiting to get paid off by some of these fish this month. Still... waiting. I had already tagged this fish and isolated with a raise. MP1 came along until the flop. I had a good read on the fish so I loved seeing the shove.

Here's another hand where the designated fish showed true 'fish power' to crush the better hand. Fishy had a big stack when I left the table to go to a party.

I call preflop for set odds and fold missed flop to the 2 overcards. The fish in the CO isn't worried.

it tilts me that like 1/5 of these hands should have been posted in their own thread and actual improvement could have been made

Also I sure wish people understood the intent of this thread when it began. It was meant for the really crazy type hands. Not the gee if the flush would have hit I would have lost my ass and he hit top pair shitty kicker. We only want to see really crazy hands in this thread as intended!

Dude, results indicate that it's a brilliant induction raise cuz he knew that villain would spazz with his TPNK.

I figured that given my past aggression that with a minraise OTR he'd go spastic. I just didn't expect him to shove with TPNK. Had he not shoved this missed FD when there was an obvious straight showing, then I wouldn't have added it here.

Maybe I'm missing something but, why is what I posted any less crazy than this? Because 'Gee, if the queen hits I would have lost my ass'
