if already asked, please post link here.
anyways, ive been playing no limit tournament style and wanted to switch up to ring games. i plan on going to a casino in the near future so i would like some tips on ring games. any help would be appreciated

Chum, stop for a second and think. You must know how inherently complex poker is, and how utterly unanswerable your question is - it would take a book to answer it even remotely properly, and there have been next to no books published on NL ring because it's SO FUCKING COMPLICATED.
Real answer - just read FTR in full (or at least the boards that are relevant, including the Beginner's Circle even if you don't consider yourself a beginner).

no, whatever you do, stay OUT of the beginner's circle. There is stuff in there that will poison your mind forever (and admittingly, some quality posts and posters as well).
ummmmm......
position, agression, adaptation. Once you play enough hands you'll see what I mean, but that's probably the best long-term advice I can give.

Don't overvalue top pair. My friend who is a high stakes ring poker player says "Top pair just isn't good."
Don't get involved in small pots with marginal hands (you probably know that).
Be be more loose and aggressive in position (you probably know that also).
Stack people with sets... it's great.

The rest of the post is good. 
First 2 are debatable and situation dependant, though. But I agree with the points you are trying to make. I guess if it just said, "don't overvalue top pair", and "avoid playing big pots with marginal hands", I'd most definately agree.
