Is there any reason why Omaha Hi is not played as a no-limit game? I'm going to host a omaha night instead of our usual NLHE night, but think people will get confused by the pot limit rules. So I'm going to play it no-limit unless there's any fundamental reason why I shouldn't.

Cheers.

swiggidy will become famous soon enough
at a home game it probably won't matter much since people don't over bet the pot and stuff.

It's PL because hands run too close in value pre and on the flop, so it would be a stupid game. Also, good people would eat the fish faster.

Swigs right. If you are going to play it no limit expect money to change hands pretty fast if they havnt played it much before. A lot of people are going to catch reasonably big (holdem) hands most times. Id suggest making the max buyin a bit less than your usual holdem buyin unless you want people to go home early.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?

There are a lot of no-limit omaha 8 or better games that run on PokerStars, and very very very few no-limit omaha high.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.
