Ok, ive just downloaded the free trial for poker tracker and trying it out on Full Tilt. Basically i just want to know what numbers to look out for and what they mean.
So for AFq does a low number mean the player is passive and high means aggressive or the other way round?
Also should i wait for about 20 hands before i can rely on the hud stats? or are they meaningful straight away?

I've also just downloaded the free trial and have begun using pokertracker.
The AFq tracks the percentage that the player raises rather than just calls, so the higher the number the more aggressive the player.
I judge this beside the VP the higher the value the looser they are, i.e. maniacs would have high values on both (likely all 3).
When I am in a pot with someone and can't decide whether to fold/call/raise I also look at the more detailed stats such as the went to showdown and won at showdown.
As I say I'm only a beginner and will happily be corrected if I am wrong.
Also I'd take 20 hands as a absolute minimum before you can really judge a player by the stats, even then use with caution!
Any more advanced players with more advice?

Anyone have some good color coding examples of their HUD stats for different player types?

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

Ive looked at your posts and I'm interested in using a form of this overlay but Im having a tough time finding one built for use with a MAC.
Any MAC users out there with a recommendation?
Thanks,,,,,
