Hey everyone, been reading the site for about 2 weeks now and decided to register. Excellent site and I've learned a bunch so far.

I've been playing a home NLHE $10 buy in. .25/.5 blinds w/ friends for about a year now and after actually researching poker I'm starting to understand the game a little better. Best advice I've found is don't play drunk. Again, great site!

Chris

Welcome Chris. I myself i have joined FTR not too long ago and it's a good place to find great advice. The most active FTR members are comprised of bunch of nice guys, if you love poker, there's no place like FTR to talk about it.

After reading so much I have the urge to go to the East Chicago Harrahs and see what I can do on the $4/$8 Hold'em tables but do you think $100 would be enough to play?

Chris

ps. stuck at work until 12:30am so I feel a little pent up

With a $100 bankroll, I think you're better off at the $2-4 tables.

Where do you live? I was thinking about heading up there some time next week.
Some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants won't help.

If they had $2/$4....

I live in Chicago for about another week and then am moving to Rolling Meadows to be closer to work. Only 3 miles away. In the city though, its the Belmont and Damen area. Roscoe Village.
