Are my perceptions valid here? I'd like to here from some of you guys who play PS regularly.

As compared to Full Tilt and Bodog, it seems like the PS folks are more TAG...if you could call it that. Definately tight, but aggressive? Not so much. I'm amazed at how often my 4xBB PFR just ends up stealing the blinds/limps. Limpers...a lot more limpers.

On Bodog, Set vs. Better is shoved 90%, and I would say it's about the same on FT. Several times in the past few days, I've seen showdowns with straight vs full house/flush with nothing more than standard raises. Not many guys chasing the draws, and fewer suckouts. There have only been a couple of hands worth taking notes on, where I thought the play was a little strange.

I put $50 of my BR in when I signed up, and was down $10 after a couple of sessions. I tightened my play up quite a bit, dropped my PFR down to 3xBB to get a little action, and I earned about $4 back in my last session.

So, I know my exposure is pretty limited, but it seems to me that the PS crowd are better players than Bodog or FT. Any agree? disagree? think I'm an idiot?

For that reason I wouldn't endorse playing micro stakes at PS or Party. There are better networks for that.
Networks that do not support PT, Poker Office or any kind of data mining are better for obvious reasons also.

I find myself playing quite a bunch of 5-draw and PLO8 lately. The players are much worse there compared to hold-em in general. Even if most players don't have a really good understanding of HE - there is so much good advice online that anybody can turn himself - if not into a winning player - at least one that it is hard to extract money from.
By contrast the amount of mistakes I see made at 5-draw at a hand-for-hand basis is incredible.

My experience is also limited, but I find no trouble at all finding persons to extract money from. It doesn't seem to me that PT or something like that should be necessary to beat 10NL. There are very many bad players who will gladly stack off with TPnK for a buy-in and other mediocre holdings. Sure there are some tightwads but there are also many maniacs and maniacs to profit from. Just sayin...

Make +ev plays and you will be a winner. Make -ev plays and you will be a loser. The players suck.

No doubt.

For full ring $10NL:
FT is 10%, max of $2. (This is the lowest level on FT. $25NL and up are all $3 max.)
Bodog and Stars are 5%, max of $0.10. (Rake scales according to stakes. $3 rake hits at $400NL.)

DAMN!! Another reason why I only play tourney on FT anymore. A $20 pot is very common at $10NL.

LOL. I'm an engineer for a Fortune 100 company, and $1.90 seems like a lot of money. Alas, the challenges of building a bankroll from the micros...
