So I've read this site for a while (year or 2), but never decided to post before (mainly because I didn't play much before & b/c when I did, it was just .01 .02, but now I've been trying to play more). On a side note, I've read most of the Beginner's Digest threads, & watched a few of the vids as well.
Anyways, I've been grinding 10NL FR overrolled on Stars, & have been trying to make the move up to 25NL with anywhere upwards of 20BIs. However, I seem to get crushed whenever I do, so I wind up dropping back down to 10NL (I can realize after losing a few BIs that I'm not beating the level).
I'm looking for advice on whether I should try switching to a different site with rb (Cake maybe), in order to make the grinding easier while attempting to move up, or if I should just stick to Stars (I'm US). Will641's "what the hell is wrong with me?" thread (can't post the link) strikes home with me because the situation is pretty similar to mine (except I have a lower bb/100 over a similar amount of hands [~40,000]). Any advice is appreciated & thanks in advance.

post HH's of when you get crushed and we can likely help you spot leaks. also, i wouldnt really worry about the rakeback if you are comfortable on stars because from what i understand (i play at FTP) stars have bonuses you can get through FPP's.

welcome! the move from 10nl to 25nl for a new player can be a tough step, but if you beat 10nl you can beat 25 for sure. definitely post hands, that is easily the best way of getting input from better players. it's amazing the leaks you yourself don't notice but others will.
stars is a pretty good site to start a bankroll at low cash games. full tilt can get you rakeback but man it's a rock fest, very tough to adjust to. rb can definitely help, and i don't have much experience at cake but maybe some others can give input on that. maybe you could try bonus whoring for a while, even though it isn't what it use to be . when i built my first bankroll, over 2k of it came just from bonuses.
but again welcome and post more!

Thanks for the welcome givememyleg.
Papalrage (or anyone else that can answer) - Should I be posting HHs here or in FR NL Hold'em?

post hands in the full ring forum.
FullTilt is full of 12-4-2 types at 25nl, but if you're clearing the bonus AND getting rakeback AND only getting stacked on badbeats/coolers then you'll be fine. Don't go there until you have $600 to deposit though, and make sure you set up your account with rakeback.
Haven't played cake.
There's a prima skin that takes US players, but fullring is dead there at low stakes. Only go there if you're prepared to play some 6-max.
Kill it.

Also, when posting HHs, I should be using the HH converter, right? However, when I try to do that, it tells me that I have to have 10 posts before posting links. So should I just post raw HHs, or is that frowned upon?
Daven - I've read a lot of posts that say FT is pretty much the rockiest US site, hence why I don't really want to play there, even with rb/bonus.

to get rb at FT you need to create an account with a code you type in when you sign up so I think it might be too late for you.
In response to draven what prima skin accepts us players?

It's probably because when you try to post the HH, it has a link to whichever room you were playing at. Try deleting that and it should post.

Hmm... I deleted all the links (even the ones to the FTR converter), but it still gives me the same message about having 10 posts before posting URLs/links. I'm wondering if it's b/c of the images...?
*Edit* After testing here by trying to post a random FTR image here (King of spades), I now know that it is the images. So I guess I'll just have to wait until I have 10 posts...
Thanks for the hospitality btw.

Ahh well in that case, just post them raw until you have 10 posts
