i'm from england and up till now i've been depositing using my debit card.
in a month i'll have a neteller account.

i'm not sure what to do due to the currency conversion rates.

should i create a £ (pound sterling) or $ (us dollar) account?

if it's in dollars. then neteller will charge me when i deposit with my card. and if it's in pounds then the pokerrooms will charge me when i deposit.

what should i do?
is it possible to open 2 accounts with neteller: a dollar and a pound account?

what do other uk players do? all replies appreciated

I'm Polish and my bank account's currency is PLN. I didn't even have a choice to get Neteller in this currency, but If I could suggest anything, I would definitely suggest you opening an account in $.

That is if you are going to make much more transactions on the line PokerClient<>Neteller<>Casinos than Neteller<>YourAccount, like me.

If you stick to one Poker Client, and want to cash out through neteller to your bank account pretty often, than maybe neteller in Pounds would be a wiser choice. But then, still on the line PokerClient->Neteller->Bank you have to change the currency at least once (if you've got a Poker Account in Pounds, then the only choice is to get Neteller in Pounds of course).

Im a UK player with a USD account. Yes they will charge you when you transfer between your brittish account and your dollar neteller account but that isnt going to happen nearly as often as transferring money between your neteller and the poker sites.

Provided you are a decent player you shouldnt need to deposit very often (i.e. more than once) from your card anyway so that isnt much of a problem. Just make your deposit to the pokerroom you want to play at and keep that as your bankroll. When you come to move somewhere else then withdraw to neteller. From then on you can keep some in neteller that you can move around to wherever you need without paying commision. Then you only need to pay fairly infrequently when you come to cash out.

In summary a US $ neteller account is way +EV.

Also you can only have 1 neteller account per person. (mabye even per address?)
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

Back when I was bonus whoring, I lost quite a bit of money converting from CAD to USD all the time whenever I went from site to site. Really sucked and took me a while to smarten up and get a new account. Good thinking to ask this question.
