I've been losing a lot of confidence due to the number of bad beats i've been getting lately..

I can take down small pots but I end up losing more because at loose 5NL tables they will call raises with anything so the majority of my bad beats are 2 pair or full houses that they hit with junk..

So I lose faith in my TPGK.. anyway here's the hand. Critique please

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (9 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Button ($3.30)
SB ($5.20)
Hero (BB) ($5.55)
UTG ($7.12)
UTG+1 ($9.95)
MP1 ($4.93)
MP2 ($8.28)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q, A
UTG calls $0.05, UTG+1 raises to $0.15, 3 folds, CO calls $0.15, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.10, UTG calls $0.10

Flop: ($0.62) 7, A, J (4 players)
Hero bets $0.30, 1 fold, UTG+1 raises to $0.60, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.30

Turn: ($1.82) 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $1, UTG+1 raises to $3, Hero folds

Total pot: $3.82 | Rake: $0.15

I know the way I played it was wrong and I should've 3 bet the flop but this guy was a loose calling station so I knew i wasnt going to push him off his hand no matter what - it was gonna end up in an all in bout and I saw another buy in slipping through my fingers

Here are a few things to consider... I'd likely fold preflop. I wouldn't donk into the preflop raiser with this hand. If I call his raise it's definately not to b/f the turn.

Also b/3betting this flop would not end well imo.

There are far too many players in that pot to donk bet, probably would have been best to c/c depending upon who bet and how much, then re-evaluate on later streets. (c/f wouldn't be a horrible option either). For the same reason, I agree that 3 betting pre would be a bad move, with UTG and UTG+1 both showing some signs of strength. I' always find it really hard to lay down AQ preflop, but with crappy position and a lot of people looking to play from early position, it might have been your best option.
