Ok, I have been playing $20 NLHE 6 max on Ub trying to build up my bankroll in order to move up in stakes. So I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on how to play against LAG players. I try to follow a lot of the tips on this site for micro tables. The players usually call any size raise with any two cards which sometimes is to my benefit but it seems like most of the time I get out drawn by at least one of them. I do get paid off pretty nice when I have the nuts but I usually break even or am in the negative from hands I lose from being outdrawn. I try to push them off of their draws by betting big but it usually backfires on me so I was just curious if anyone had any tips on this. Any advice is more than helpful. Thank you

over-simplistic noob opinion fwiw...
tighten up
bet for value
be more willing to stack off with TPTK/overpair type hands on draw-heavy boards
exercise a lot of patience / don't lose your cool

Table image may be an issue.
Create the right image and profits may follow.
The right image depends on the table your at and the style and tempo of the game.
If they respect your play they will not so easily call your Raises or Re-raises.
Good Luck

No need to get fancy. Bet for value, fold when you have nothing.

Become an excellent TAG player- then crush other TAG players.
Become an excellent LAG player- then crush other LAG players.
Become an excellent MANIAC player- then crush other MANIACs.
When you have skill edge over most players you will earn money instead of winning them.

TY nish for posting great link, and ty Spenda for writing an excellent article.
Some of these adjustments requires patience and others requires guts. The strongest players have both these qualities, and when combined with mental stability, consistency and quantity of play they become sharks.
A better metaphor for these players is the octopus who constantly changes to his surroundings and strikes unexpectedly with a wide array of different weapons. When faced with adversity he has great means of escaping unharmed. He creates illusions and traps his prey. He never quite is what you think he is.
The octopus choses his fights wisely. Unlike the Great White Shark who fights the superior Great Ocra,- the octopus keeps feeding with minimal chance of becoming prey himself.
Hope its not too obvious I have a big fat blunt in my hand.

I do enjoy your philosophy Sir P
Don't get sucked in to the LAGs game - part of playing profitable LAG poker is pushing people outside of their comfort zone (so they raise or call where they normally wouldn't) and exploiting it. Standard game is fine.

this is theoretically not correct if the lag players are decent lags, not fish that OP said were lags but really they're just bad
"bet for value" means that you won't bluff at all vs. lags which is actually pretty transparent and you'll never stack one because you'll have a nit image
but against bad lags I guess it's OK
"fold when you have nothing" means you fold to their bluffs :/ more like "call them down when your nothing beats their nothing"
well you have to watch out for thin value bets because lags will try to vbet their second pair so you herocall them with ace high
a better strategy is to bluff when you don't expect to get played back at and to handread better so you can make hero calls in spots where you expect them to bluff
