Ok I played a LOT this month in an effort to improve my play. I've been playing a bit over a year, I've made ~6k (I'd guess about half of that is from whoring). I made a few mistakes this month, and took a bunch of tough beats (set over set is killing me). Any thoughts from these stats? I think I'm pretty close to becoming profitable. I've noticed that I wasnt playing many draw type hands such as Axs and suited one gappers.

This month was really depressing. It felt like a big waste of time.

I decided to stop losing big hands about halfway through. It kind of worked but I had fewer big wins too.

I think I should check raise more ^^^

Maybe the worst part is I lost money on KK-got it 98 times.
(but made money on AA and QQ)

Any tips/analysis are appreciated!

your stats are fine...you probably have to learn to fold K's when your sure your beat ...example ..you have KK you raise pf ...a NIT calls...flop comes, you bet out and he goes all in ....thats an easy fold ...just post HH of hands your having trouble with in the HH forum ...

Here's the same window with the "show only hands that were not folded" button unchecked. That's for all trips,I dont normally look at the whole thing since I dont really care if T2o ended up being trips. I still didn't have the best cards this month IMO.

One thing to keep in mind is that standard PT output doesn't measure accurately how well you play postflop. As others have pointed out you can beat many low stakes games by playing 12/5, 20/10, or 30/15. Some may think you don't raise enough, others may think that you should be more aggressive postflop...etc. I'm not saying that these advice are worthless, since it could very well plug some of your leaks. But I think it all comes down to your comfort level, extraction lines, and pot manipulation skills.

For example, you can have 2 players who play identically, say 16/7, Win when see flop 28%, W$ASD 50%. But the better player will frequently win a few more BBs on his winning hands, and lose a few less BBs on their losing hands than you. This is the kind of data that is often overlooked when analyzing with PT, and I think it may be why you are merely breaking even. You are probably not extracting enough with a winning hand (marginal or monster), and losing too much on losing hands (especially huge but losing hands).

start posting lots of hands for critique - like all big pots every session. that's the best thing to improve your game IMO
