I began playing seriously (everyday) in late october 05, mainly sngs and some mtts. After grinding 1800.00 from initial 150.00 deposit I went through a terrible down swing in early '06 and was virtually burnt out on sngs. In April this year i decided to give nlhe fr try.
results;
10NL
hands: 2598
winrat: 31.68ptbb/100
small sample, didnt spend much time at this level because it was so easy and the money meant nothing to me.
25NL
hands: 16965
winrate: 5.65ptbb/100
did ok at this level... really improved over the last 8k hands which i beat for 8ptbb/100
50NL
hands:19399
winrate: 10.81ptbb/100
Did really well at this level. Made over 1k for the first time playing poker... actually made over 2k in June @ 50NL. I feel my game really improved over the last 3 months and i could beat this level for 15ptbb/100... however i know i still have alot to learn.
Once i get my new party situation set up I will be playing 100NL which i hope goes as well as 50NL. Once I hit 200NL I will probably go back to 25NL/50NL to work on my 6 max game. You can check out my blog to follow my progress.

Well done. I see no reason why you should drop down to 25/50 NL for 6max.

That's a typo, right? I can't imagine how that winrate is possible, even over such a small sample size.

I think a 30ptbb/100 is quite sustainable at these limits. My $5NL experience on party yielded a ptbb of 36.11 over 7k hands and I have no reason to believe that that would have changed and $10NL isn't a lot different.
It's actually not a lot of money really. ($0.10 BB * 2) * 30 = $6/100 hands.

Normally i start with about 6 tables. I spend several orbits at each then once i'm running good i cut back to four that i dominate. So 4-6 tables for about 2.5hrs per session.

I had a 6k hand upswing of around 40PTBB/100 at £25NL. I then immediately had a 4k hand downswing of -50PTBB/100.

p.s. 32 PTBB/100 is only 1 buyin every 170 hands or so. It's a lot but it's not a ridiculous amount.

All sounds good. Good luck at the higher stakes.
And 30ptBB/100 at 10NL is not uncommon.

Thanks for sharing Biondino. I too experienced a similar swing for June and was just wondering ... am I alone in this type of situation.
