Now I'm special case. I have a radically obsessive personality. I completely lack the abiltiy to do anything half-assed. Which is to say when I decided I liked Hold 'Em, I went straight to the bookstore. I started tracking down sites like this one. Playing small limits probably 250+ hands per day (not multi-tabling, so several hours/day). And was taking DETAILED notes on my common opponents. I obsess about crap I enjoy, like poker.
Prior to that, it was pool (still is, fool!). All I wanted to do was kick ass at pool. Books...going out...playing tournaments...joining several leagues...eventually building an addition on the house and buying a pool table. Get it. I'm a freak. But guess what-- I KICK ASS AT POOL.
And I intend to kick ass at poker--do you doubt me?

A small sample set, but after a good month, I feel like I'm making good progress.
Thank you FTR!!

6 max. Hence the high VP$IP. The above does not include $350 I earned in bonus money. Plus two mag subscriptions, 2 decks of plastic cards and a t shirt.
All you newbs. Stick with it. Obsess. It will pay off.
I have a total of $300 invested in online poker. I have a BR of $32,000.00.

What do you mean you have 300 invested in online poker, you are playing 400NL no?
Sorry to be a douche, but 3k hands mean absolutely nothing (although i guess its fair to say you dont suck). The long term is really really long, if you hit a 36k cooler will last for a year... Whats impressive though is that you have built such a large bankroll playing so conservatively (br management wise, seing as you are currently playing with 80 buyins as far as i can see). So congratulations are in order.

his BR is 32K but he go there with only a $300 deposit--and plays 400NL with profits.
his 3k hand sample is only of 400NL...he obvioulsy made a ton of money working his way up to 400NL.

Nice work EasyT! Do you still bonus whore now with a 32k roll? Rakeback and good game selection is much better than bonuses at this point, don't you think?

Yeah. Some day, maybe I'll meet the right poker site, hit if off, and marry her. Until then, I'm sleeping around. :P
Rakeback is sorta tempting. But whoreing is still plenty-profitable and, franky, more fun!
In the month shown, I whored a Hollywood reload for $100 and a Magazine subscription, PokerRoom for a $200 welcome bonus + $100 Party Poker gift certificate + I'm gonna trade in my points for some decks of plastic cards. So $400+ gear. According to PTracker, I paid under $1,000 in rake. So if I liked a site with >40% rakeback...I'd be in the right neighborhood.
And yes, I agree that 3k hands is a very small sample set. But I track this monthly, and this was a good month, so I felt like digging up this old thread.
Thanks for the kudos and support guys.
