So, I've played around 300-400 SNG's (small sample size I know) at microstakes while I've been learning. Whilst still having stacks and stacks to learn, I'm pretty happy with my poker at low levels - I'm certainly happier than I was 3/4 months ago. Lots of sound knowledge is ingrained in my head thanks to FTR & HOH.

For what it's worth with such a small sample size, my ROI is around 90% for this period but obviously this is at $.50c tables and below. This kind of underlines that I'm happy with my play though. At these levels I'm winning 1 in every 5 and cashing at least 2 of the other four (so 3 out of five).

I started at $.10c and worked up. I'll shortly be moving to $1 tables. I'm happy doing this slowly as I'm not investing anymore of my own money and I'm learning as I go, improving my game and fixing leaks.

Here's the problem. The poker site I play at (BlueSq) has what I've discovered are crazy blind increases compared to other sites. Their 'normal' level is an increase every 8 minutes. Their 'speed' level is every 3 minutes. And they even have a 'turbo' that's every 1 minute!!!

Naturally, I steer clear of the turbo's because they're a total lottery. I don't mind the speed level and I do ok at it but it's a bit much. I prefer the 8 minutes but even this is short.

Futhermore, none of the online tracking software works with BlueSq poker either.

In it's defence, the site is always busy and there are obviously plenty of fish around (at least at the levels I've played so far). I'm just not sure what to do next.

Changing sites is obviously a possibility - are there any other's with microstakes so I can stay on my current path? I could also invest some more money at the end of this month and jump up the levels a little quicker (say to $2 or even $5) - I feel more confident in doing this now.

I guess the downside to switching sites is that my bankroll isn't large enought to start bonus whoring yet. At least I don't think so.

Anyway - enough!! I'd welcome advice from all quarters about anything I've mentioned above. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to give as much info. as possible.

PokerStars has a $1-45 man tourney. If you have $30 you should be OK. My ROI over 60 (also small sample) is 89%.

Absolute Poker has small stakes, with a slow increase in blinds (they have some extra levels).

If you get to $100 casino whoring is the way to go. Later today I plan on making a post about the risk of ruin in the House of Cards forum.

{EDIT: woot, post 600. Full-house baby}

TLR is an unknown quantity at this point
The blind structure you manage sounds similar to VCPoker. Even the 8 minute levels are pretty fast, since the blind structure is such that pretty soon it is a shallow stack tournament.

I would give pokerstars a shot

I play at UB, it has $1 (+10c), blinds increase every 10 mins

Played 1000 of them for a $400 return, playing the $5's now
Goal - To generate an income stream playing online no limit holdem

Thanks for the tips, guys.

Will give Stars a go soon I guess. Though UB will give me a chance to try the FTR freerolls
