Ok, so my roll was at $95 after I cashed out. It went up but then down again due to the usual suckiness. But today I wwas like "fuck off you're gonna play your A game now!".. so I started a session of 2-table 6max 10NL ring. Roll was $100 I think. Started off badly, down to $75 or so, but then I got into my game better - and amongst other things, found out how slowplaying to incite bluffs and trap people works a lot better in some situations than my usual pure aggro style - and I played for 8 hours straight, ended at $170. I think that's over 40 ptBB/hour, so 20 ptBB/100 per table for 6max I think. Not bad.

Then I got bored with that.. and my head was starting to hurt a little, so I wanted something slower. So I entered this $1000 freeroll MTT. But was a bit too slow. So I played two $2 SNGs.. yesterday I played my first SNG in my life, and it was really confusing. But today it was a lot clearer what I had to do here. I made first and second place respectively. The MTT went good too, was chipleader at one point. My MTT strategy was now totally different than in the past. Instead of camping for the nuts, I just basically played normal poker. Finally bit the dust after some misfortune put my stack at little over 10xBB.. so I took some more chances but ran into AA. I swear, they deal these out like candy at unibet.. to everyone but me. Had pocket rockets a whole whopping ONE TIME myself in all my play today.. and another guy at the table had AA at the same time. Ah well. So I finished place 94/6000. A bit disappointing but my MTT skills really need some work.

This was at the very least a lot more fun than how I used to play em. But then, just now.. I was thinking.. whenever I was playing 6max and there was only me and another guy left, I did really great there. I also in the past have observed my friends do this and they excell at this, so I have a good idea how/what to play.. and basically HU suits my aggro style perfectly. So I sat down opposing a $16.50 guy and matched his stack. About 2 minutes later I had taken his stack. Ok, is just one game.. but I was thinking, it seems I'm not too bad at HU, and if I maybe specialize in this type, it would sure bring in money a heck of a lot faster than any other gametype. No doubt it'll have high variance, but the wins/losses come around QUICKLY so in theory if you're good at this, and have a sizeable BR to catch the downswings, it seems like a good plan. Dunno.

Also, the roll is almost back at my personal limit for 20NL. Ofcourse I don't want to get ahead of myself after one good day, so I'll probably grind 10NL a bit longer still.

Anyway, so I have some questions:
- What is the roll needed to play SNGs? Like $5 SNGs etc? (they seemed rather idiot-infested and are pretty quick to make money too.. I played the super turbo kind)
- Similarly, what are the roll requirements for MTTs? Rebuys and Freezeouts? (I had great fun in this MTT today, so I wanna try out some more, but not those lame freerolls)
- Anyone have some experience/success with focussing on HU?

15 to 20 buy ins for normal speed SnGs. Turbo ones you'll need more. I 've heard of people who used to play the old style party SnGs (fast structure) with 100 buy-ins. A SnG player can probably advise you better.

100 times whatever you estimate the buy-in will work out to be.

$3 rebuy. Say you spend an average of $12 on buy-ins and top ups per time you play means you need $1200 BR.

Ah thx Irish. Seems higher than I thought for MTTs, but I guess very long losing streaks could be common here.

I think I'll go with 30 for SNGs and 100 for MTTs as a general guideline.

But I really do want to do more with HU-games.. problem is at unibet, the lowest they provide is 50NL. As my roll is only $230 now, that's not even 5 buy-ins, so obviously folly. Ok you will often find guys that sit there with like $10-$20 but even so I feel my roll is way too low to focus on that just now..
