This table has been very loose and aggressive, especially the villain. No real specific reads, still trying to work on forming ranges at this point.

This play felt right at the time but as I reviewed the history it seemed very bad to me. What do you guys think?

BTW, I have been lurking on FTR for about 3 years now but I have never actively tried to use the advice on here. After dumping another $50 deposit last week because of horrible bankroll discipline I decided to try one more time while restricting the stakes I can play at to $2nl. This is the first time I have posted a hand on here, and there will be more to come.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

you must re raise this hand... the probability of an ace king or queen to be on the table by the river is very high... like 78% i believe... you must isolate... not only that but it will give you a better idea as to where you stand on the flop as well...

do we have any reads on villain?..

do you have poker tracker or any database records?.. it's very easy to beat this level... check out my 80K stats.... i'm rather experienced beating micros...

the biggest thing you need to beat micros is discipline... you can't tilt... if you tilt you will only end up beating yourself... at 2NL it's pretty much cruise control... basic card selection and position is all you really need to beat this level...

personally i muck anything worse than AJs UTG and UTG+1... raise or fold at all times... mid pocket pairs are an exception to this rule...

i might have some hand histories from you i can look up if i ever sat down with you... what's your pokerstars name?..

Thanks for the reply zorrito. My screen name is the same as my name on here- Elrohir44.

My thinking for calling pre (and I now realize I was incorrect) was that a rr would be unlikely to narrow the field based on my experience with this table and I hate playing out of position. I figured I would see the flop and play from there. I need to work on my confidence OOP.

At the moment I do not have any tracking software. I did the free trial for HE Manager and I immediately realized how valuable it can be. I am limited in my funds at the moment but I plan on buying it in the near future.

If you found some HHs with me that would be great and I would be interested in your thoughts!

download poker tracker , you get a free two month trial initially , by then hopefully you make enough to be able to buy the cut down version of HEM. Thats 25$ cheaper but is just limited to 50NL and below. Once you get to need to move to 100NL you upgrade for 25$ so it doesnt cost anymore by going for the cutdown version +upgrade than the full version.
