I've been watching this forum a lot, not really posting that much, learning from everyones beats and the comments made, And i think my improvement has really shown from how I played yesterday at my home game. I've really started to get the players at my table down to a science. The truth is though yesterday, i didn't make that much money, but there were many situations where i could've got royally screwed, but i saw the read and folded.

First off was my first money making hand of the day. I get dealt K10 off, (note we play with about 6 people total, sometimes 5). I limp in in middle position, no one raises BB and SB check and call respectively.

The flop comes K 8 3 the 8 and 3 are suited spades. I bet Pot, SB calls, BB folds.

next card is a Q not of spades, couldn't help anyone. I again bet the pot, but this time the SB doubles my bet. At this point I either think he has a King with a better kicker or has has two pair. Then I think back, He didn't raise preflop so he probably doesn't have me out kicked, and he sometimes plays relatively crazy, bluff wize. I call his raise. The river is a 2 again not of spades he goes all in, which is not much at this point so i just call. He has crap, i got the right read, won a huge pot.

My most amazing play of the day is preflop I get dealt AKo, I'm middle position but the guy before me raises 7x the BB. Earlier I see him look at his cards in a way that makes me think he has a great hand. I first think to reraise to see if he'll reraise that, in which case ill fold, but then i think that if he just calls? what would i do? I at this point was so sure about my read i say to my peers "I'm gonna regret this." and fold. After no one calls he says damn and flips over AA, just as i expected, he was pretty pissed i told him afterward i folded.

Most of the day i was getting roaylly screwed, AK vs AQ, KQ vs KJ, JJ vs QQ. And at the end of the day, i was still up.

Anyways i just wanted to tell you all that this site has really helped my game and i will continue to search the forum for more advice!
