Heya all. Well after a about 6 months I think my bankroll is slowly but surely inching higher. I'd like to thank everyone on these forums for that (especially Aok). At this point I'd like to move up to $10 NL but I'd like to have a bankroll of at least 30 buy-ins ($300). My bankroll as of right now is only $70 ( +20 up from my starting $50). I'm thinking I'm going to continue playing $2 NL till I'm at $100 (perhaps 2 tabling?), then casino whore it up as much as possible. By that point I figure to be at upwards of $300 and think I will bonus whore till I can get a sufficent bankroll for $25 NL.

Thoughts?
Currently at UB playing $50 NLHE 6max.
Bankroll: ~$1900 (Almost BR'ed for 100NL.)

I played $2NL at paradise until I hit $100 then moved to $10 but dropped back down if I went below $70-80 (God seems ages ago) I also single tabled the 10's, played very tight and thankfully avoided any major downswings at the start.

bonus if you want but don't count it as your "ability to move up" bankroll. Here's why, the Process of Making (i.e. winning consistently) is more important to moving up in stakes than the amount of money you have. You need the process to build your experience, your confidence AND your bankroll. If you just have a bankroll that's not enough. You need the trials and the frustrations and the rewards and the triumphs. A poker "career" is a STRUCTURE. If you build it right it will never fall down, if you rush it then it is likely to collapse and you won't know why.

enough with the symbolic language. But think of it this way. With your experience do you think if someone magically gave you a $10,000 bankroll you could play say NL1000? Maybe you could!! But you would feel WAY out of your league. that's why building up is important.

Keep at it.
