Background: Playing for about 5 months, mostly 25PL 10 handed ring with roughly 25K hands. Stats have been up and down as I have tried different things (most learned here) and of late have been doing consistently better as I was able to double my BR in the past 3 weeks. So here's the question ...
I am considering a move to NL. The reason is to become more profitable and then to look at moving up stakes at some point in the future (but want to do it via NL).
What 2-3 things should I be looking out for when making the change to NL?

Your opening raises can be larger for one. In PL if noone has opened, you can only raise to .85, whereas in NL there is no limit (duh).
In PL you can get into situations that don't risk all of your opps stack. Say the pot is $5 and he has $8 left. In PL you can't force him to make a decision for ALL of his chips. In NL you can.
There also tends to be less preflop limping in NL compared to PL (at the $25 level anyways).

Well, $25NL on Party has blinds of 10 cents and 25 cents. So, are we not talking about the same thing????
If you are actually talking about 25centNL, where in the HELL do you play that?

Huh? Where are YOU playing PL? You can at any time bet teh pot, which is what is in the middle plus whatever has been bet by previous players. To be honest with you, the difference is preflop, for these reasons. After teh flop, the pots can get bigger than both peoples bankroll, especially with a couple callers. To me, the players playing PL are more timid and afraid to risk alot of chips at once (relatively)

Over-bet and expect to be called.

Check/raising is huge, you're under-estimating the pot bloat when this happens.
$15pot
I check, you bet $10, I can raise it up to $45 ($10 to call makes it $35, raise is another $35)
For what it's worth, my observaion is that pot-limit players tend to play more hand pre-flop (less risk of being pushed out of seeing a flop) and bet pot more often.

Last time I played PL at Party (before latest software came out), if everyone folded to you, the max you could bet was $0.85. We are talking preflop here. Thought that was understood.

You can play more drawing hands in PL, esp in LP as you'll often have great odds. In a similar manner, big pairs go down in value.
For Potdragn: note that Ahiltz used the term OPEN (ie, nobody in the pot yet except for the blinds)
