unfortunately, as with most things in poker, the answer is "it depends"

Is this cash or tournament?

jackvance is an unknown quantity at this point
In general, check. If the table is too passive or too tight to my liking however, I'll raise it like my standard top hands. I might also raise it, but lower than my usual. Here you have to be careful though, to not do this consistently. Otherwise your "lower raise" becomes a plaque saying "guys I have low pp".

Another thing depends on the reads of the specific guys who are might call your raise. Basically I want premium hands to call, so that if I hit they'll pay up. If you're probably gonna get called by 2 guys who will have mediocre hands, better check I think. A small advantage of a raise as if you had a premium hand is that when you get a sucky flop, you can still c-bet and take the pot.

(this is for 6max)
