Just wondering does anyone have any tips on making some plays when your just not hitting hands.Lately I've found myself in situations where im playing big tables with some very aggresive players and not hitting much in the pocket to write home about.I dont want to find new people just yet as im roughly braking even but i think there is money to be made. For example when the best pocket i tend to get is something like A6o its not easy to call pre flop raises that are half your stack.Anyone have any advice bar leaving the table.Id most appriciate it.

Buy in of $20 then everyone gets 2,000 chips blinds tend to start 50/100 or 100/200.But sometimes there are like 12 at the table. They dont like playin two small tables.

One of the best plays to make when you don't have cards is called a "fold."
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

You can fold away until you get a hand.

What type of game is this? It sounds like a tournament. In that case (if the blinds go up) you are going to have to start getting more aggressive and a lot looser once the blinds are big compared to your stack or the game becomes short handed. If its a cash game then just wait for good hands. It sounds like the other players are raising with pretty much anything so just wait it out. When you eventually do get a hand you will probably take 1 or 2 stacks in 1 hand.

Pelion I know this is off topic but can I ask why you are playing 10nl with a $500 roll? Seems like that roll could sustain 25nl.

I only got there like 2 days ago. I want to play a little bit more 10NL (just like a week or two) before I move up just to be sure...

I make the same kind of decision. You can play breakeven poker and accumulate quite a roll from bonuses. Kudos to Pelion for being cautious.
I'm a know-it-all.

No, really.

10NL?

Fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold....that are the best plays when cards don't hit.

In cash game you don't need to worry about being blinded out, it's better and cheaper to fold 50 bad hands in a row (cost of 7.5BB) than make one failed "play" that will cost you for example 10-20BB. $10NL is too erratic and crazy game with lots of terrible players.

100% agree. Fold... and if you get such bad cards that you get down to $8 or so just from blinds then make a coffee and then rebuy to $10 and get folding again.
