we've done stuff like this before....

can you take $2 and buy into a HU SNG and work it up THROUGH the $20?

the math guys can tell you how many times you need to complete it to break even....close to 1 in 8, btw. (disclaimer: use judgement. dont do something stupid like this if you dont have the bankroll.) this is more a way to deal with some tilt or boredom...on the cheap. dont let it get in the way of your typical "grind."

lawl. that sounds like fun. I don't know if I have the HU skills to even win 1/8 but I know I have the roll to at least try this out a couple hundred times. *assuming I can luckbox a win at the 2's at least 25% of the time)
The older I get, the more I start wondering; Just what in the hell is going on here?

Are you saying take an initial $2. Beat a HU SNG. Buy in for the next level, say $5. Win. Buy in for $10 SNG. Win, Buy in for $20, and beyond until that $2 is a large number? Sounds like gambling

like i said, dont do this if you are practicing bankroll mgmt. it definitely had a gamboooling element to it.

but, if you play 25NL, $10 SNGs, etc, you should have the roll to give it a go....if it feasts your fancy. if not, oh well.

its just a play on something you might do to release some frustration from a bad day. or after youve hit your stop limit for the day. or just cause you want to give yourself something to do before you bomb about $5 away. it has helped me get over tilt by releasing frustration.

thats all its meant for. not to become a new way to build a roll.

Well assuming we have a large enough roll to make that $2 completely immaterial, there definately can't be harm in trying this.

Just remember that if you're playing 10nl, then 5 of these is a buyin.
Just playing to improve.

less. $2 + $.20 for rake. i guess i could have put this in SNG forum instead of BC.

but, seriously, if you give this a go 5 times and havent cured your frustration, i cant help beyond that...lol.
