Ok now people lose money because they have a need to win and sometimes they risk it all just to see the next cards. These people are foolish in many ways. They don't think about the risk to reward ratio. If i have jq suited and someone goes all in and i just started playing in a tournament, if only me and one other guy or person are going all in, he probably has aces and kings or pocket pair. I might win but the chances are against me greatly. People do this all the time. Go all in on a strictly average hand. This happens at the start of tournaments when nobody knows any other player(I guess it depends). Wait for better chances is what I say, but i'm sure a lot of people don't agree. Some people see the start of the tournament all in is a good move, but more than half the time some person has better cards than you. Even if you're the last bet of the table there's probably someone smart waiting for someone else to go all in so they can call them with their ace king because they know out of ten people someone is going to do something stupid.
does anybody agree with this?

I'd have to seriously disagree with this play early on in a tournament. I like to play real tight early, let people calm down and get those all-in people out of the way by throwing their stack to luck. Very loose people like to think that the chances of doubling up would be beneficial to helping then last, but more times than most, they lose that all in hand early to someone else who calls with a marginal hand and makes their impossible straight/flush draw.
I prefer to tighten way up early, let the table thin out, then play my game against people that are a little more solid that calling all in on their first hand.

Even if you do double up, with that attitude you will probably not make the final 3 because good players will pick you off with good cards, much better to play tight me thinks.

I see the starting hand all-in as a good move, when I stay out of it. Because when 2 people go all in on the first hand, that leaves 1 person out of the tournament (getting me closer to the money) and the other loose agressive person with a big stack that I can take from him. I win both ways.
I would say a better question is this.
1st hand, You have AA, UTG in a SnG ($5, $10) Would you consider going all in pre-flop? Hopefully you will be confused with a maniac and get someone to call you. Possible way to double up. Risky? Good idea?
Otherwise, fold to any maniac. The only way maniacs make it to the final 3 is with extreme luck or someone tries to out-bluff them.

I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Sounds like an okay idea to me. Have a very good chance at doubling up, and then you go back to your normal play with an advantage. You haven't invested much time into the tournament at that point at least. Seems like a reasonable proposition.

I've tried this multiple times with AA when I get it on the first hand. It works sometimes, but often everyone folds too.
Definitely worth a shot if you're on a loose site, like PP, though.

I think limp/re-raise is higher +EV. Some idiot will probably raise, fail that you can always play set.
