I just register today, and have been reading the advice of the many knowledable here for a little over a week now. I played a lot of SnG touneys this weekend and did extremely well (thanks everyone) I was getting eaten alive at the micro limit tables (up-down-up-down-down-down)
The Question:
Is there a particular way to play two pair after the flop? Is there a book or resource I can read that may go in depth with examples? Everyone I saw this weekend was winning with two pair. I have NEVER won with two pair and have taken some really bad beats because of it. QQ JJ, KK TT, AA JJ are recent examples of nice hands that have been beaten by a full house, flush draw, 3 of a kind. I can't tell if I'm being slow played or being muscled...as it stands now if I can't get them to fold to me by the turn, I am folding if I don't hit the full house on the river. Obviously I am very new...perhaps this is a common issue, all I need is a little guidance - or a nudge in the right direction. I don't mind reading, so if there is a resource online that address this issue I would appreciate a link.

In SnG:
2-pair after the flop is a very strong hand. I would generally play them strong and fast. If the board flopped a pair, you will need to be a bit more cautious. However if you flopped a hidden 2-pair (board has no pairs on flop), you have a nice hand.
Theres a section in the Super System book under NL, playing AA, KK that might be good to read. The only cavait is that I would consider goin all-in more in SnG with these hands b/c I have seen ppl tend to call more vs table games. Also if your luckly enough to called, your stack will double, giving you a huge advantage in the SnG.

Going AI with AA, KK, QQ would not be a bad idea if you played at PP. You double up early at PP and you can safely say you are already ITM. Going AI with AA, KK, QQ, at stars... i wouldn't do it often unless i'm forced by an AI after my raise or reraise. Doubling up early at stars doesn't guarantee you anything by any stretch. Any other poker rooms, i couldn't comment.
JJ, TT are very strong hands, but you have to be very cautious as many players at low stake SnG play any A/rags and K/rags. I was adviced by many advanced players at FTR to either play them like any low pocket pairs (for a set) or play them hard as you would with AA, KK, or QQ. Postflop play, it really depends on how the board is looking, but i generally raise preflop and raise or reraise postflop. If my raise or reraise is looking at another raise, i fold. If i'm called, it gives me no choice but to check on the turn (unless you want to take down the pot on the turn w/another big bet). I'd play JJ, TT almost as aggressive as i'd play AA, KK, QQ, but i would avoid AI with them. You don't win a SnG with one hand, cut your losses when you know you are beat.
AA, KK, QQ, i play them straight up, you are suppouse to raise with them, raise raise raise, at least 3xBB. I had plenty more bad experience than good ones slowplaying them.
I tried to find some thread about playing big pockets but had no luck in my search. I think there was a discussion about playing big pockets, you can try to find it i guess. Good luck DavSimon.

Thank you for the replies....I suppose reading opponents and knowing when to lay down big hand comes with experience. I've got a lot of the basics down, but when it comes to complicated reads/plays it is a coin toss as to whether I will do the "right" thing. I suppose there are setbacks when learning any new skill...I will just keep pluggin' away.
