This is becoming a new trend on FTR, I thought I'd make a list so it would be easier for readers to find all the threads, especially since they're scattered. I didn't pay a lot of attention to them before, but there are a lot of good hands to look at with common situations/mistakes/lines. I think it's a hidden resource.

Updates with HH and feedback:
Operation 75k - Irisheyes
TerryToma's blog - TerryToma
Drive to $50NL - Trainer_jyms
Setz's Goals and Poker History Thread - Setzy
Give me my leg (and bankroll) back - givememyleg
Operation 30k before Xmas - Genitruc
'Spenda's Limit Adventure - bigspenda73

Progress Updates:
Operation new car - mcatdog
Lukie's Guarantee - Lukie (and sandstorm)
Operation BAR - euphoricism

FTR Blogs

If I missed any, or there are bloggers who are planning on updating regularly just post below and I'll add it to the list.

I'm trying to earn enough money to buy a car, and I've been updating my thread once a week. I don't know if anyone actually reads my thread haha, it's basically just a way for me to evaluate my progress and my play once a week, and tell myself to use my free time productively instead of screwing around surfing the Internet.

Thing with the blogs is, none are really going right now. I'd be happy to add specific ones if they're updated frequently.

I update mine fairly regularly. That being said, it's not inspirational, so don't put it there

The blogs are going. No one posts every day, but they're still good to read and keep up with. And triptanes wrote a new entry!!!!! yay

My updates are irregular but they do happen. I am considering doing a challenge thread myself but I don't really feel I have a specific challenge for myself! My big problem is that I almost bloody-mindedly want to keep poker as a hobby, something I enjoy rather than as a second job - I don't need to build my roll to move up stakes, I don't need to play x number of hands - all I need to do is enjoy playing and get better at it while balancing it with my life.

Any suggestions? Seriously, I need a lead here.

(p.s. I played against an mcfatdog (sic) at £25NL on Crypto the other day. Gave me quite a start!)

I know I've said this before and I keep going on about it because you keep bringing it up. I'd consider it a big personality leak if I thought like you do. I really cannot understand a mentality that sees perpetual stagnation as some sort of accomplishment. It's like you're ultimate goal in life is to be 'nothing special'.

My ambitions in life don't have anything to do with poker. I consider this a plus point but ymmv.

Understanding that different people have different personality types and therefore different mindsets about the same concepts makes a big difference.

I wanted to do one, but i seriously dont think i can be bothered after playing so many hands each day as i am at the moment.
Having said that, it would porbably be good for me to look back over the days hands and post and find out where i made a bad call/read etc.
I also faniced doing some sort of small stakes/bonus whoring blog for n00bs so that i can backup the remarks i keep stating whereby anyone can make a br of 2.5k in 30-60k hands... but maybe thats -ev

I wanna apologise fir my first post there, I just reread it and it sounded rather insulting. I didn't mean it to, it came out all wrong. Sorry about that.

As a reply though, what do you wan't suggestions for? Why do you enjoy playing poker? It doesn't seem to be the money. It doesn't seem to be the competition or the challenge. Why is poker fun for you? Do you get a little thrill when you fool someone into stacking off with intricate play? Do you get a thrill when you 12 table for 6 hours in a row? I fail to see what you enjoy if you don't want to move up, push boundries, win more, learn more, play more, sleep less, read more, absorb more, stress more. Can you answer these questions? Can you help me understand?

Respond in my operation thread if you like, I think we've hijacked this one enough.

Well, I have taken it upon me to become a good poker player as at the moment my life is quite stagnant career/education wise. Hoping to move up the ranks.

Just started 8 tabling NL10 with starting BR of 100$. Long term plan is to be sustainable at 200NL and up. Although it may seem i am results oriented at times, my priority is playing well, non dependent of the result.
