Here is a scenario that I find troublesome, and I know I am not alone. So, I figure this may be a good exercise for me AND others...

Please give me your lines for 3 villain types: 1) the TAG/reg that runs around 20/16/2, 2) the Bully that runs about 35/30/1.8, and the Fish that runs about 40/6/.8. And, please give me lines for us being OOP and in position against these players. I need to learn how our lines change, in marginal spots, against these common types at 6max tables. Thanks in advance.

HERO has TT in MP and raises 4X. BTN calls and blinds fold. HU pot of about 9.5X.

Flop is 359r. What is your lead size vs players 1(TAG), 2(Bully), and 3(Fish)? (You don't need to give me EXACT bet sizes. A simple "half pot" or "3/4 pot" will do.)

Assume you are only called by all 3 players. Turn is 6. Now, size your lead, if you lead, against the three players.

Called again by all 3. River is the Q. What is your river bet?

Please run it again, with the same cards, but this time you are CO and called by a blind. Still HU, though. When villain checks you? Checks turn and you? Checks river and you?

I hope that isn't too complicated to articulate some responses.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

It depends, it depends, pot, it depends, it depends, pot, it depends, it depends, and it depends.

It depends, it depends, pot, it depends, it depends, pot, it depends, it depends, and 2/3 pot.

Good luck memorizing these advanced NLHE lines.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

it's not really about "memorizing." i dont want to be "spoon"fed the answers here. i am trying to actually think about WHY we would do something, and how it would change vs different player types.

is there any kind of standard from which we base any changes from? ok, the fish is pretty simple because we are going for 3 streets of value in position and likely 3 oop and probably shutting down only when told to stop. but, the others? where would we start?

maybe we start by assigning basic ranges to TAG and Bully?
