Do you think limping AA (or high PPs) is -EV? Do you ever do it? I'm asking cos' I was sitting at a table full of tag for like 2 hours. I had many high PPs and every time I raised or re-raised them I got only folds. It was overally very hard to squeeze the money out. The table's PFR% was 14%. I was UTG and caught AA and decided to be tricky. I limped.

Here are the results (sorry for the untidy PT HH):

Villain is 20/4.5

You think he stacked off due to you limping them? Or because he just stacks off with AQ?

How would you have wanted it to go any other way?

This is how you would want all AA UTG to be played out, surely?

JL will become famous soon enough
Limping AA UTG is fine if the table is constantly raising limpers.

This hand does not prove anything though. If you raised UTG then AQ would have called, and probably would have stacked off anyways.

If I had AQ vs a limp/3-bet pre-flop there's no way I'd stack off with tptk.

Just play LAGgier.. take pots away from them again and again until they get angry and start playing back.. or just move tables.

No way this guy would've stacked with AQ if I hadn't limped 'em.
If I had raised the AA as standard and he would've called it would be very hard to get his whole stack on this flop. If I would've been in position to him and re-raised I'm 95% sure he would've mucked AQo PF.

Okay... I admit the HH was a brag. I just wanted to know if I was clever or if this was a stupid move.

I don't usually like it either. This was the first time I limped any 66+ PP in ~50k hands. So you think it's good at 1000NL, eh?

well i just hate how it gives away your hand so much... good thing this guy didnt care and stacked off with top pair.
i think at higher levels that i dont play, play becomes trickier and limp raising wouldnt give it away as much.

Even though your table is tight, it is good table if people are prepared to stack off after your limpreraise with AQ here. Given your description, I wouldn't believe this is possible.
