What can you make more in, limit or NL?
I generally play 2/4 Limit, only time I play NL is for minitournments and tournments. What is a decent hourly rate for sitting at a 2/4 Limit table compared to a relatively equal NL table?

Thanks

Um assuming the equivalent stakes for 2/4 is 100 nl. You could do decent with 2 bb/100 and 10bb/100

So 8bucks/100 vrs 10bucks/100. However, high stakes nl games get insane where high stakes limit games never get too out of control.

ChezJ is an unknown quantity at this point
if 100 NL = $1/$2 blinds

then 1 BB = 2 x $2 = $4

and 10 BB = $40

making NL waaay more profitable

put in non-mathematical terms, i have on very rare occasions managed to triple my buy-in during the course of one session of limit poker.

but in NL, i very commonly triple or quadruple my stack in one session.

At most online poker rooms the blinds are $0.50/1.00 at $100 NL, not $1/2.

ok but then 10 BB would still be $20 not $10.

standard accounting for NL is 2 big blinds = 1 big bet.

i would say it depends on how good you are at the game.

put someone like fnord playing limit 2/4 and like chezj at NL 100 .. i think fnord might make more money. (not dissing your play, but some people are just crazy good at limit)
