This is for myself and hopefully others will contribute. After playing for six months (lol), I have found the following things to be true when it comes to the way I approach poker right now:

Play position.
Play the player, not the cards. If you have a read you can outplay.
Poker is about time invested and smart play, not gambling.
Being aggressive post flop wins a lot of pots without showdowns.
It's more about what he doesn't have than what you do have.
There is no shame in folding, river or otherwise. It's a marathon, not a race.
If you're playing low limits and have KK or QQ and an A comes up, he's got the ace.

Anyone else learned anything really important they want to share?

the most important space at a poker table is the 6 inches between your ears, not the 6 hanging between your legs. (and now come the big dick jokes)

I've learned that the occasional misclick reraise can take down big pots.

I've learned that while holding a low pp and the board pairs twice my pp becomes a kicker (or that having 3 pair is a pretty bad hand)
I'll be a rootin' tootin' shootin' damn fool, protectin' my chips.

If you want to lose fast, go all in every hand.
If you want to win fast, flop a royal flush every hand.
If you get drawn out on, scream, if you feel better keep playing, if not, stop playing.
Start with a decent bankroll ($500 at least) if you hate playing lower limits (like me).
Don't get married to a hand.

Don't call an AI unless you have the goods
Learn to lay down TPTK
If there's plenty of action at the turn or river, your TPTK is probably beat (see above)
Sets and straights will win you the biggest pots
Position, position, position
patience & discipline

The one thing I wrestled with was making a read and then following it. "He's got KK, can I make him fold? Probably... but what if he has AK *fold*"

Once I got over that, I was golden.

You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.
