I made a "how to" post in the Tools of Poker forum about Creating Basic Betting Scripts Using AutoHotKey. I didn't know anyone would be interested until a discussion about them started in my Operation Thread. So I put together a tutorial post with screen shots. Edit: See my post below for some script idea for poker tasks like taking screen shots, opening HEM, getting ready to post HH's.

And I posted in the Tools forum so the new mod (I hear he's a real meanie) wouldn't have to yell at me and move it. But I thought I'd post an advertisement here, where more folks would see it.

I just wanna give a shout-out to Nakamura and Rage2100 who posted this epic thread with sick table management scripts in the SNG forum. Their idea got me started on creating some useful hotkey programs of my own. The other thread has some links to other amazing hotkey scripts, for example, Spoon's scripts that map Playstation controller buttons to Stars actions. I'm a beginning scripter, but maybe this will start some folks creating and collecting some fun stuff to share with the rest of us.

And seriously, if you haven't tried Rage's and Naka's table management stuff, give it a whirl. It is an extremely efficient way to play 6 or more tables - not that noobies should be playing that many!!! - but if you're one of us who do play that many, their scripts will make you more profitable by helping you focus more attention on the tables that have action on them while hiding the one's where you're fold-fold-folding.

Thanks for the notice. I know this is something I need to get into, but just haven't had a chance. I browsed the "how to" thread and it looks like just want I need to get started

* Bump *

This post in the tutorial thread has scripts that create hotkeys for the following poker related tasks:

Screen Shots:
Takes a screen shot, opens Photo Editor, "pastes image as new", and then opens the URL of your file hosting web site.

HH Posting - - Good to Go
Opens your default web browser to weaktight.com, opens a tab for the FTR forums, and has an IF statement that checks on Holdem Manager. If HEM's closed, the script opens it. If it's minimized, the script activates it.

Poker Game Play Script
Opens/logs in to Full Tilt, opens HEM and starts the auto-import, and loads poker scripts.

There's a couple others there, too. Hope it helps someone. Post here or in the tutorial thread with any scripts you make or experiment with.
