Read on the villain: he's a calling station. Called me down to showdown on several pots beforehand.

I was out of position on a missed flop with two players still in. I always get stuck here. Thought about c-betting but knew it would be a waste with a calling station in the hand and I have nothing. Tricky part for me was he was giving me good pot odds to keep calling instead of re-raising. But I would be re-raising with nothing against a calling station. Should I have made the cheap calls or dumped it at the turn?

He's probably drawing or he has a pair smaller than 7s would be my guess.
C-betting this flop is pretty much always bad because of the structure, and against someone who will look you up with a pair of 5's, it's terrible.
I'm calling the river too btw... Players who bet like that are capable of trying a hopeless bluff in that spot.
There are loads of players who will lead their weak hands small, but if they don't fold, then you can't bluff. Against a weak/tight level 0 I'd be very tempted to try and push him off at some point, but against a station, there's not much you can do.
Try and spike an A or K the next time. If you think he's capable of folding I would try to take it if a Q J or club hits.

the problem with playing against the strategy of betting every street small is not the calling, it's the lack of raising
if he's a calling station, might as well check/call it with that betting pattern
but when you have something, don't be afraid of raising to show that a bet is a bet and 20 cents is a check

I cbet here, and shut down when the 8 hits.. if a face card hits the turn, it a great place to barrel.. whether it hits our hand or not.

How is this not a horrendous flop to cbet? We're multiway, we completely missed, and we're in the hand with a known calling station a.k.a. bluff catcher on a board that hits 1.5 billion hands.
I usually call down the tiny bets.
