So this is a common scenario, I find myself on both ends of it. Do you guys see a PFR, CBet flop, check turn, 1/2 pot river a lot? usually it ends up being 2 missed overs vs a pocket pair. Like I said i'm on both ends of this a lot, winning and losing. Many times this is heads up or 3way action, but goes down to 2way by the turn.

Any advice on how to be on the winning side of this scenario or good ideas about what types of HUD stats would show this tendancy?

A check on the turn in this scenerio is usually a sign of weakness. Sorry, I don't use HUD. How much is Poker Tracker going for these days? I should get myself that as well come to think of it...

i definitly see this alot. PFR in MP, i call with something like 55-88 in the CO or button(assuming villain has 15x behind). flop comes something like Q93 rainbow. villain bets out 1/2 pot. i usually float here. if turn is a blank and villain checks, im almost always betting 2/3 to full pot here. the check behind on the turn almost always screams a whiffed hand where he isnt confidant enought to fire the second barrell.

i also get into this scenario where i am the PF raiser with something like AK. when im the raiser and someone floats on me putting me on a missed hand, i fire alot of 2nd barrels if the situaiton is right. especially at 25nl where i play, too many people call weak flop bets only to give up on the turn. you do have to be careful not to do this against a callin station, because he could have paired a duece and call the 2nd bet.

as for PT stats to look for, i have no clue.

this is one of the reasons why i feel c-betting is a leak becuase players dont think anymore why they are doing it. They just do.

Also, players dont know how to trap check behind or check raise or two barrell Ax or a mid pp.

ive been check-raising against a PF raiser more lately with a non scare turn card. like if i have a mid PP or even if i hit middle pair with a good kicker. not something to do every time, but it has been winning me alot of small-medium size pots recently.
