(1) Im in love with my fold button
Early-Mid stages I miss out on alot of EV. I play the right hands pre-flop but Im just too weak post-flop. Im always looking for an excuse to fold, the good players obviously exploit this and when I see it I'll let them bet into me when Im strong. However I still cant bring myself to fight back when im holding moderate hands, such as AJ on a KJX board.

Recently Ive been a little more aggressive early on. However now ill get to ~1800 chips and revert back to hugging the fold button. This leads to...

(2) I don't take the gambles on High Blind levels
This means I get alot of 4th / 5th placings where If I had taken the gambles and even gone in 40% dog when I was short Id increase my ROI. Im using the Push Charts in Moshmans SNG book, however I go wrong when a) I dont get the hands - Ill just keep folding. b) People Raise infront of me.

(3) I dont know how to use my large/above average stack
Ill be getting to that in the SNG book shortly. Ill call AI with ATC if im getting 2:1 and am last to act, or shorter stacks than original AI acting after me.

(4) In contradiction to (1), sometimes Ill just callcallcall
The 2BB bets on every street seem so harmless, but before I know it Ive just bled 10BB on middle pair, a sizable chunk at any level, instead of reraising early on.

5) Im too results orientated
6) I only read "general stratgy" forum posts, and not hand specific
7) I dont post my own hands
8) I dont comment on other peoples - Just like at the poker tables, Im a passive player on the forums - lots of looking, no action
9) I let my badbeats haunt me

Just 9 things mentioned, 9 things to work on now I guess!

The one thing that will help you the most is.....to post up a SNG tourney in the SNG forums. You will get comments on all aspects of your game, you will become more involved on the forums, and maybe you will stop losing . I highly suggest you post one up.

what % of hands to you play? (see a flop not in bb)

observe a SNG and see how they all play ...and who wins...and why. at stakes you play at and higher and lower. you might pick up some helpful ideas on how to change your play.

do you play turbo? from what you are saying here you shouldn't, yet

FWIW i am rarely a chip leader in sng early on, usually at the bottom third, by fourth/fifth blind increase. i do more folding and watching or checking my BB unless i have premium hole cards.

and i stink but have won my share of low stake 5 table 45 player tourneys and been 18 out of 22 more than a few times
