Get one with as big a screen as you can afford, it will make a huge difference. Other than that it doesn't really matter.

Agreed, big screen with high resolution. I like the Dell Inspiron 9400 with a 17" screen.
You might also consider the newer laptops with built in 10 key number pads. Some 17" screens are coming with the 10 key now.
But if you don't have to have a mobile computer a desktop with dual monitors is easiest to multi-table.
Good luck,

I have a laptop and I think it's fine.
Just get the biggest screen you can afford. It will cost you more than a desktop with the same screen size. But hey, a laptop has heaps of other advantages

Yea freal. I play on a laptop and I love it. 17 inch screen does fine, I do not multi-table to heavily.
The beauty is being able to walk around my house and play whereever with my wireless internet. Now thats the shit. I can garuntee you tommorrow at the airport I will be grinding my way through the 50NL tables while waiting in those ridiculous security lines.

Yeah, I agree. I have a 15" monitor on my laptop, I can 4 table no problem, but I've started to 6 table and they over lap. Its not terrible but If I had a 17" it would be alot better.
Also you can't take your desktop in the bathroom when you have diareah.(lol)

the 1600 x 1200 will help you when open more than 1 table on a site without resizeable tables. You can fit 4 tables on a monitor that has 1600 x 1200 with no overlap. The bigger the screen the easier it is to see when you are multi tabling.
