You play them in aggressive games with unraised pots preflop (yeah, I know, it doesn't happen a lot).

The reason for this is because your implied odds against aggressive opponents are MUCH higher compared to conservative opponents, who will get out once you start betting hard. If you don't get paid off (and pretty big at that) when you hit your straights and flushes, what's the point of playing small suited connectors?

I think you got your terms wrong. You do not play draws ie. suited connectors in "aggressive game" for the reason you stated -you're going to get pushed around and you are not getting good odds.

You play them in a "passive game".

Agressive = lots of preflop raising and reraising with only 2 or 3 players seeing the flop. Do NOT play suited connectors unless its like AKs or AQs.

Passive = little or no preflop raising and 4 to 6 limpers, preferably more. Under these conditions you play draws.
Send lawyers, guns and money - the sh*t has hit the fan!
