Hi hobo. Welcome to FTR. We typically post hand histories in the SSNL forum with general questions going to the BC forum.

    Pre-flop

I would be inclined to raise more pre-flop as a default size. Somewhere in the $0.75 to $0.90 range would be fine. The reason for this is that your strategy should involve playing fewer hands for more value in an effort to beat the rake.

    Flop

Some people would suggest just calling here since we sort of have the deck crippled, but I disagree. I think that you should raise to somewhere in the $1.70 to $2.00 range.

    Turn

At this point we have about $23-$24 behind with a pot of about $5, so we're not going to be able to get in all of the money with just two bets (note another advantage of bigger bet sizes pre-flop and then on the flop). I think that you should bet this turn pretty hard though, and I don't think your bet size of a little less than half the pot is sufficient. You give him great odds to call with any jack, and you don't get nearly as much value as you could out of hands that he would bet/call with on the flop.

    River

Again, I would be inclined to bet more on this river because he has a very large calling range. Once he check/raises, you have to get it in since you very likely beat his range, plus you have pot odds to call.

Hi spoonit , ty for the feedback , sorry for posting in wrong section. I have to be right 30% of the time on the river. given the combo's villain might have had ( set of QQQ,222) vs a hand like AJo it's barely a call. 16 combo's vs 6. furthermore is he ever donking a set of queens that small and why? donking AJo or J9s would be rather typical for a weaker player to make that play and then call a rr otf.

IF i add 4 combo's of J9s it's a clear fold. is it unreasonable for me to think he has AJ here? What i'm trying to say is why is he donking a nutted hand like a set otf? makes more sense for me he did this with a hand like AJ and then peeled one off.

I'm experimenting a bit with betsizing and opening ranges but i fully agree betting bigger pre and post is likely to be the more wise thing to do at 25 nl.

wouldn't villain be more likely to just call down his sets on turn and river with that board rather than check shove into a possible straight? AJ and J9 are gonna be in your range , J9 from SB seems really loose. you probably ought to include some KQ combos as well

call.. the 1/3 donk lead is usually a set or 2 pair. at least where i play weak draw leads are like a normal bet size, 1/2 - 2/3 pot. as played i would raise pre to .75-.85, flop im 4x ing weak leads at least, turn i bet 2/3 pot which makes SPR a little closer on river so its not such a huge decision for me.
