I called the raise, intending on getting all my chips in the middle on the flop regardless, thinking that maybe some hands would be betting the flop that i beat that wouldn't call an ai push pf. I also decided when i called to pay of aa. Is this a bad mindset?

nh....basically one hand or a donkey set beats you. I couldn't lay this down...maybe TT, JJ or QQ call too.

lay down KK preflop? who does that - really. i have heard people do it... i just think it takes extraordinary circumstances. convincing yourself you made a "great laydown" is usually just hollow justification. show me someone who can say they laid it down preflop more times than they have fingers and generally i will show you someone who isn't playing to win...
i'm not sure your roll or your normal stakes (just starting on these boards), but you had $40 in front of you. that was your max burn. from your other posts that seems relatively comfortable for you to lose. therefore, you are going to pay off the one hand that beats you if he has it. i would have pushed preflop and that way you get to see all five for free!! :^)
i go in 100% of the time with those circumstances unless the guy SHOWS me AA even without knowing anything else. $40,000 in front of me and that may change things....
even if you go with your original stragegy of the stop and go, it is still valid. if he hit a 9, good on ya... i actually like to see a pair on the flop for a stop and go, heh.

you can checkfold this flop sometimes against very tight players
other than that just push preflop.

Looks good to me although I would keep on raising preflop against most opponents and sethunt against the others.
You do have one pretty obvious leak though.

Dont tap the glass.
If someone thinks I suck Im happy to keep it that way. If someone is giving me free advertising to the rest of the table then even better. If you start defending yourself like this you lose that free image and you might even inspire someone to get better.

ur right, shouldn't have done that, and i don't usually. Two other questions, does the fact that this is 50NL make it more likely for you to push? What other hands would min reraise me like that? QQ, KK, Ak? Not sure.

50NL makes it less likely that ill push since people are less likely to call with AK or even AQo like they might do at lower stakes. Im more likely to just make a normal reraise because so many people will call for a set with QQ and then get stacked on a low flop anyway.
