rowhousepd can only hope to improve
So here's my recent KK busted episode from down in the micro depths -- $5NL to be exact. I believe I played this hand fairly correctly, but tell me if I shouldn't have shoved, and if so when. The villain was somewhat loose-passive (22/8/40) so I figured he was a fish.

Full Tilt Poker $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em - 8 players
Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com
UTG+1: $3.20
MP1: $4.65
MP2: $4.93
CO: $5.00
BTN: $5.00
Hero (SB): $6.53
BB: $9.40
UTG: $1.73

Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero is SB with K K
UTG calls $0.05, 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.05, 3 folds, Hero raises to $0.30, 1 fold, UTG calls $0.25, MP1 calls $0.25

Flop: ($0.95) 7 T J (3 players)
Hero bets $1, UTG folds, MP1 calls $1

Turn: ($2.95) 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $5.23 all in, MP1 calls $3.35 all in

River: ($9.65) J (2 players - 2 are all in)

Final Pot: $9.65
MP1 shows 8 J (three of a kind, Jacks)
Hero shows K K (two pair, Kings and Jacks)
MP1 wins $9.01
(Rake: $0.64)
-----------------------------------------

Anyhow, I pretty much put him on a pair, and maybe one with a draw (he did have a gutshot), but I don't think he should have called raises, especially preflop and in the flop. Should I have just shoved on the Flop instead?

you got your money in as huge favourite. That's the aim/name of the game at the micros. Nice hand. Don't go changing. I think both streets were played perfectly.

edit: should i play this differently? how? why?

I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.
