ok.. ive come to the conclusion that 10nl at stars, pushing KK preflop is very very unprofitable.. 5 times now its been aces who have been reraising me.. never again am i pushing KK pre flop.

Great plan. Try limping in for set value.

If that was true then you could 3-bet bluff any two cards against any opponent profitably since they would only stack off with Aces.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

If all your opponents are only continuing preflop with aces, change your 3bet range to: {Not 22-KK}

Have fun.

ok, well tourneys ill shove KK pre no doubt. but in cash games, i raise KK.. get reraised , then i raise again, and get re raised.. maybe i should know theyll have aces. thsi has happened 5 times since i played 10nl, 5nl i shoved KK and came up against a9 and qq .. maybe its just the sample size

@ 2nl, you can probably get away with shoving here and becoming very profitable.

In fact, you're probably costing yourself money by re-raising such a small amount they can pop you back or fold.

also lol @ sample size.
The older I get, the more I start wondering; Just what in the hell is going on here?

Based on what are you concluding this? Over a minor sample?

I got beaten today with KK AI PF vs. KQo where the guy hit a Q on the flop and then one on the river. Also got beaten by an AKo getting it in PF with KK where board got TJJ Q T. And should I stop pushing it in with KK beacuse of these situations? No obviously, because next time I face these types of situations I'll profit more than I'll lose.

You'd want to get it in with KK preflop almost every time you get them.

You really need to get HEM working again. In 6,370 hands (still not a big enough sample) I've never (afaik) had KK v AA. Once I had KK v KK.

Come back when you've been AI preflop with KK at least 100 times and I guarantee you'll be singing a different tune.

well, I gotta tell a true story 'bout pocket K's: It all started in Las Vegas in 2006....a couple different forums that I have played with for years had our 1st anual get together & had our private tourney...final table, 4 left, I'm chip leader...UTG goes allin...I'm 2nd to act & I go allin w/KK....other 2 also call....hands are: 88, KK(me), J10 and last to act: AA...I go from chip leader to short stack & out next hand for 2nd place....BUT, ever since then I've been cursed if I get poc K's and everyone at these forums KNOW IT!!! It's a running joke to this day.... when someone gets their KK cracked, somebody will type in chat: "you got Goobered" (my ID is Goober @ these forums also)....and I STILL lose 70% with KK.....3 years later & it's still got me cursed!!

70%?

Even against AA you will win 1/5 times. I know this is just a silly story but don't post statements that are mathematically false.
