I did my usual 6xbb raise with KK preflop and the loose guy at the table calls with everyone else folding. And of course an Ace falls on the flop. What's the next move? I bet the pot and he called. I figured he had an ace. So, I got to the river as cheap as possible by calling his bets in hopes of hitting trips. He had AQ and I lost half my stack. No big deal, I'm glad that's all I lost. But, is there a better way to go about it?

If you know he has the ace, check/fold the turn

yea, id quit calling him down here. drawing to trips is the worst thing i've ever heard of. bluffing him would be better than calling down, but then again, opponents dont like to fold ace-anything.

He didn't bet very high - just enough to keep me interested. After he showed AQ, I figured he was afraid of AA or AK. He was the fishiest player on the table, which was why I stayed in. Check fold the turn is probably the best option.

yea check fold the turn. Drawing to trips is like 8% over both turn and river. So he'd want to be betting pretty small to give you odds.

With KK be prepared to muck when an ace hits, that's all there is to it.

What if you held KTs and the flop come AK6 rainbow.
What if you held 98s and the flop comes K94 rainbow.
Play your KK the same way. It's pretty much the same thing.

I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.
