PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (4 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Button ($6.18)
SB ($2)
BB ($5.12)
Hero (UTG) ($8.02)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with ,
Hero bets $0.08, Button calls $0.08, 2 folds

Flop: ($0.19) , , (2 players)
Hero bets $0.18, Button raises to $0.50, Hero calls $0.32

Turn: ($1.19) (2 players)
Hero bets $1.02, Button raises to $5.60 (All-In), Hero folds

Total pot: $3.23 | Rake: $0.15

Opponent is loose aggressive (48/16/4) with a vendetta against me for beating him in a big pot, and also bluffy.

I called his raise because of those reasons above.

I think it's pretty clear I made the right decision in the end, but should I have folded after his initial raise?

1) Those two hands aren't 'almost identical' at all
2) Put your opponents on a range. I know he's bluffy, but just ask yourself how often he's doing what. Don't forget that it's very easy to have you beat on these boards so personly I wouldn't try to build a big pot at all. e.g. You think he would do this on the flop with some flushdraws? some air? his 2p hands? etc..
3)

If you think he's bluffy and you have an ok hand, you don't want to 'sniff out a bluff', you want to make him pay with it. If he's not folding his bluffs to raises, the only way to make money on him is with hands that beat his range.

OMG POKERTRACKER IS RIGGED!

You are falling into a huge trap here thinking a player has a "vendetta" against you. You are allowing emotion to affect your decisions and that is a tell tale sign of tilt.

Please post some hands where he showed bluffs.. since you say he is bluffy? Maybe he was just on a good run of cards? Remember you only had one pair hands.. you should keep the pot small when you are not committed until villain gives you a reason that he is willing to get all in with worse.

The rationale you mean?

Preflop - 4x BB

Flop and turn - effectively the size of the pot. A habit I picked up after watching bigspenda's videos. It really ought to have been 2/3 each time I think.

River - I considered that he might have a bigger hand than me after calling my turn bet...so I just bet small to see what he did.
