Hello. I have just started learning poker, and have been playing for two months now. I play 3/6 limit on party poker. Its going quite well, at least I have a nice profit, ... and its fun ... But I have been tracking my progress, or well ... my playing at least with Pokeroffice, and some of the numbers in the statistics make me wonder ;

I have :

Saw Flop : 17%
VP$ In Pot : 14.5%
Saw flop not blind: 11.3%
flop-turn: 65.2%
Turn-river 70.7%
Went to showdown: 5.7%

Am I to tight?

Also, I worry that I might be a bit to week and not agressive enough;

I have;

preflop raise 6.3%
first in raise 3.4 %
Aggr. Factor pre-flop 0.6%

Aggr. factor flop 2.1
Aggr. turn 2.0
Aggr. River 2.3
Aggr factor total post flop 2.1
Total aggr factor 1.3

My final question ;

should I steal more blinds?
And do I defend enough or should I defend more;

I have

Att. to steal blinds 21.6 %
floded SB to steal 87.5%
folded BB to steal 44.4%

Any advice on something that looks weak or stupid would be much appreciated. Or maybe someone has links to somewhere diskussing these things, "ideal statstics" and so on .... I tried the search, but didn't find much
My stats are compiled over 2 months playing 5-600 hands a day.

Thank you for any help/advice

if you are new to poker then move down limits. Also, if your bankroll isnt close to $6000 you arent bankrolled to play 3/6 in which case you need to move down too.

Thats before we even get to your stats.

thanks ... I started for a week or so playing .5/1 and 1/2 limit, but found it not so exciting ... Mainly because pots were to small, and also I find the players on the 3/6 seem to be more carefull about how they play. (thus, as far as I can see, making quite a lot of them very predictable and easy to read ... at the lower stakes, I often felt like it was much random playing) ... well, anyway, that was my own reason for choosing this game to start out.

I did start with only a 2000$ bankroll though. I figured it was in the range of recomendations I read in different books (suggesting something around 200-400 times the BB as minimum bankroll). With my current winnings, Im at around 5000$ now after playing 2 months.
Maybe I have just been lucky ... but I think I'll stick around the 3/6 a little while longer

You only need about 2500 bankroll to play full ring 3/6

Good luck to ya, post some hands using the hh converter and you'll get some response on your play. You could loosen up a little bit but you should play relatively tight at full ring limit. Just make sure you are taking notice of pot size and position.

Don't worry about your stats as much as your BB/100.

If you're winning playing your style, there is no reason to change.

Once you start losing, is when you need to worry about changes, and that can often be just as simple as table selection rather than actually changing your style.
