Since not everybody looks in poker Etcetera, I just wanted to repost this where it may get more traffic. What do you think. Sorry if you had to see it twice.
$50NL??????? Is the drive complete, or would you stay at $25NL and clear the monthlys at Poker plex and Sun Poker first? If I take a shot, how big a shot do I take? I'm thinking 2 tables instead of 4 and get the feel maybe two tables of each. I've tried them on the weekends late and am at -$35 after 3K hands with fear for the $$$. Is that alot of rake for $25NL. I coulda played more. I ended up playing 30K+ hands of ring plus some tourneys at stars and Crypto in November.

Pick your favorite site for $50NL and do it. Stop playing donkaments until after your shot.

replace 1 or 2 tables of $25nl with $50nl. if you want your decisions made easier try 1/2 stacking at first. don't stop being aggressive and don't think everyone's bluffing you cuz they're not. if you can beat 25nl you can beat 50nl. it's pretty simple.

Move up. No question.
If you don't like it, you can move down again for a while and work out what went wrong.
Everyone has their own individual experience with each level; but I have to say I think that the Crypto $50NL games are fairly soft and definitely profitable for the taggy player.
Just be sure to stack off to me if I come to play on your table

Anyone up for a prop bet that Margin runs bad and eats his words within 2 months?
It's a fun game because there are enough fish to feed it and the regulars are easy to play poker with.

I've been taking shots at that 2-4 game, and it doesn't seem that good (at least, not yet, for me). There are some fish, for sure, but the regulars aren't that easy to outplay like they are at .50-1 and to some extent 1-2. Hopefully I'll figure it out, for now I think I'm a more profitable player at 1-2 though.

Haha you mean run WORSE, I've been running pretty bad. Still up a buyin over 5k hands though. I've been datamining starts 100NL for like 2 weeks now so I have a database on most of the regulars. It's pretty nice to sit down with people I've never played against and have 1k+ hands on them. Def makes it easier to multitable.

|
If I'm reading this right and you're afraid of losing $35 at NL50, there is absolutely no way you should be playing in that game.

He obv meant he was fearful of losing money in general, and that was affecting his play negatively, not that he was afraid of losing 2/3 of a buyin.

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

ya Martin is right. I was under rolled when trying the tables for a bit, and played a little scared. Didn't want to go to far with mediocre hands, was a little afraid of the bet sizes, only because if I get into a too marginal of a situation with a mediocre hand, it could be costly. Especially when still grinding the roll thru bonuses. I think I can beat the game, No problem, I was up last night £30 until I ran up against a couple Quads on one table in about 10 hands. I tilted off a little more after that and ended down 3 buyins, Not a good start. But I got the feeling I can beat the stake, easily.

I need a job that has me sitting infront of a computer all day. Any Ideas?I need a job where I can get in an hour of FTR a day and no menial labour. My lower back and shoulders are toast from the workload all day, my lungs are fucked from sucking solvents out of the air, and I hate being a baby sitter to a bunch of useless tits. Any ideas? I can't take a huge paycut, but if I can work from home or near home I can work for less than the $60K CAN. I make now.

Put a $2500 br together and see if you can nit-fest 100nl and make a decent living.
Id thinks its tough to break $60k at anything less than 400nl (200nl+rb and lots of hands maybe)

Bad advice IMO. He's not a good enough player for this to even be a consideration (with the uncertain future of online poker I'd say fewer than 10 posters on FTR are good enough).
PS: The guy who I think is the best player at 1-2 on PS will certainly make over 200K a year if he stays at 1-2 and keeps up the number of hands he's playing right now, but I'm sure he'll move up at some point.
