JKDS is on a distinguished road
I know, right? Its a totally new experience!

Cliff notes at bottom with hand history not mutilated. reads and thought process up here

Anyways, the point of this hand history is to figure out if im doing sub ranges properly. Any critique of how i played it is fine, so long as an explanation involving the ranges of villains accompanies it.

first thing's first

Roach07: 24/9/1.9 over 65 hands
-bets strong pairs pre, leads with over pairs for full pot, and stacks off if raised regardless of the board or opponent.
-limps sc's from all positions, c/c his weaker draws and bets when hits.

Troutfish: just joined the table, folded 3 hands.
tendancies of 25nl peeps in general
-limp pairs <99, Axs, sc's
-enjoy slowplaying, but dont know when or how to do it effectively
-"lol, if you check then i bet"
-like, 50% of them check/call their draws, the rest bet and raise them.
-they get married to overpairs

of course, these are all fairly general and may or may not apply to troutfish and/or roach but its soemthing while i sit in the dark.

i havent been doing anything crazy or unreasonable.

Stacks:
UTG ROACH07 ($70.43)
UTG+1 NIISAMA8 ($24.90)
MP1 TROUTFISH ($10.32)
MP2 DARI71 ($41.85)
MP3 Hero ($25.00)
CO GINO_THE_ELK ($16.13)
BTN XTHEMATADOR ($35.87)
SB VIVIKOO ($21.16)
BB FLIPAAAA ($10.00)

Pre-flop: ($0.35, 9 players) Hero is MP3
ROACH07 calls $0.25, 1 fold, TROUTFISH calls $0.25, 1 fold, Hero raises to $1.50, 4 folds, ROACH07 calls $1.25, TROUTFISH calls $1.25

alright, Roach first, limps utg.
Since he bets his larger pairs, JJ+ are heavily discounted. AK and AQ are also discounted but not as much cuz id expect players to raise these from utg. pre the flop then he likely has a bunch of sc's, pairs less than 88, Axs, A8o-A9o, KQ, and 99-TT though i feel he might raise these as well. Of these, i think he...

limp/3bets for value: the heavily discounted strong pairs and AK, AQ

limp/calls: sc's, pairs < TT

limp/folds: Ax...doesnt seem like the guy that would really open these from utg.

limp/3b bluffs: nothing except maybe KQs. i havent given him any reason to think im an aggro idiot and hes not ballsy enough to limp/3b any garbage from utg.

trout limps behind as well.
given generallities, lets go with
sc's, pairs < JJ, Axs, Ax, any two broadways
after i raise i think he...

limp/3b for value: nothing. i dont see him having a hand in this range since his limping range is the above. its starting to be a multiway pot, so i doubt hed be limping any strong hands that he intended to 3b.

limp call: sc's, pairs < JJ, the remaining broadways

limp fold: axs, ax

limp 3b bluff: maybe he'd squeeze with 88-TT like 30% of the time...who knows. hes an unknown...maybe hes capable of a squeeze, but he could just as easily just call behind with these.

me: "i haz the KK, i bet".
3.5x + 2bb = 1.3 or so. i bet a little larger cuz people like to limp call. most of thier limping range continues to standard bets, and thats good. Arguement to raise larger, but id rather stop here for balance. Overrated a bit at 25nl...but players would still notice that i raised 6x that one time with KK and 4x with 88 and id rather not have to worry about that.

Flop: ($4.85, 3 players)
ROACH07 checks, TROUTFISH bets $3.50, Hero calls $3.50, ROACH07 calls $3.50

roach first again:
previous range: sc's, pairs < TT
leads or c/rs: TT, 77, 9c8c for sure
bet/folds: KQ, QJ
check/calls: sc's that are clubs, 98 not clubs, KQ, QJ
check/folds: the rest.

given his history of betting and stacking off with overpairs, i think i can also say that he'd donk or at least c/r his nut hands. he might donk KQ and QJ...he might c/c them too. hes first to act so i lean more towards the passive line.

trout: someone woke up.
previous range: sc's, pairs<JJ, broadways

since i didnt give him a second choice, i wont consider that his bet range can be broken down into bet/fold, bet/call, bet/raise ranges.

bet: TT, 77, QT,. this is for sure.
might bet: other draws, sc's that are clubs, 98, J9 not clubs, Q
J, KQ, not sure what else. jc9c

i actually dont think hed donk a draw given his short stack. id think hed either c/r them, or just shove. i think a bet is more likely to be nuts hands and TP type hands.

me: I haz the kk, but this board is fairly wet. not the worst...but still meh. i have two backdoor draws for worst case scenarios...only 5% extra equity...but nice to know.
i'd...
raise: QQ, 77, TT, AcKc, AcJc

Question 1: should AA and KK be in this range? id certainly lead if checked too, but a donk bet on a wettish flop freaks me out. i havent done anything crazy, and trout is new to the table so he cant start with the impression that im full of shit or anything so i think he is usually betting for value here. Other thing to consider, roach is still in the hand and may have connected as well. trout has a short stack, so my main objective should really be getting the most value out of roach. If raise here, draws have decent enough equity to push and get it in correctly, where as if the turn bricks i can push and have a bit more confidence that im ahead.

call: AA, KK, AQ, JJ
fold the rest

Turn: ($15.35, 3 players)
ROACH07 checks, TROUTFISH goes all-in $5.32, Hero calls $5.32, ROACH07 calls $5.32

i blunder here with my flop decision, but we'll get to that

roach called, prior range was
sc's that are clubs, 98 not clubs, KQ, QJ
he check calls again, the 8 is as good as a brick to him. helps a 7c8c hand...but thats it. his range is pretty much the same then here.

trout: pushes. prior range is : TT, 77, QT, QJ, KQ
8 is a brick for him, gains a gutshot with QJ, which was really the only hand he might not continue to bet on the turn. he leads, suprise. His range is the same.

me:
why didnt i raise as i intended to on the flop? because i got distracted by a phone call. i still like my origional plan, i have 14 behind, the pot is 29, pushing it in seems the best way to get money from roach, knowing that im pretty much dead to trout.

River: ($31.31, 3 players)
ROACH07 bets $10, Hero folds

o look, straight draws and flush draws completed, way to not raise the turn. QJ hit his gutshot as well, and since KQ is less likely due to 2 kings missing...looks like i have to fold.

ok, its 3am, im tired now. i know its long, but i just want to make sure im evaluating how villains might play correctly given certain information. if you disagree with anything, or wonder how i reached a certain conclusion then go ahead and ask. The main thing im wondering about is weather you agree with how i broke down the ranges of trout and roach (as well as where KK falls within my postflop range). thanks in advance for dealing with this wall of text

cliff notes: what range do you give both villains and is kk a raise or call onthe flop and what is the plan for the turn given stacksizes.
