Anyone still here who remembers that Jiggus character?

I recall that he was set a task, many months ago, by an FTR member to play 30,000 hands without looking at his bankroll, as well as to play more aggressively. Well, I've got some before and after stats for you to discuss and to judge which stats are the winning stats, if any, and why. Alas, poker playing has been a rarity these past few months, but 18,000 hands were played without looking at the bankroll, and at a different site (Full Tilt).

Jiggus' Stats (The Before):
Paradise Poker
NLH $0.10
Hands = 33,380
VPIP WSF% Won BB/100 WD at SD% PFR% Total AF
15.21 23 ???? ???? 56.26 3.31 1.66

The Atheist's Stats (The After):
Full Tilt Poker
NLH $0.10
Hands = 18,791
VPIP WSF% Won BB/100 WD at SD% PFR% Total AF
16.59 30.83 ???? ???? 48.79 7.29 2.04

Thanks to all who take the time to reply.

Sorry, but the spacing didn't take in that posting. I hope that you can decipher the numbers. Any advice on how to post it with spaces would be welcome.

If you're formatting tabular data it's frequently useful to edit it in notepad and then use the code tags.

Also W$@SD is a better because spaces in the name are confusing.

Code:
Jiggus' Stats (The Before):
Paradise Poker
NLH $0.10
Hands = 33,380
VPIP WSF% Won BB/100 WD at SD% PFR% Total AF
15.21 23   ????  ????    56.26     3.31  1.6

The Atheist's Stats (The After):
Full Tilt Poker
NLH $0.10
Hands = 18,791
VPIP WSF% Won BB/100 WD at SD% PFR% Total AF
16.59 30.83 ???? ????    48.79 	   7.29  2.04
Blah blah Op Blah blah

Faith in Jesus Christ is +EV. That is all.

I don't think i was around when this task was set out, but what is the goal in playing hands, while not looking at one's roll?

From your stats, it seems you are limping too often. Especially in the before stats!

Sorry for the delay. Kids and fatherhood.

The results are interesting, and I do think I've learned something.

Jiggus had a BB/100 of 5.47 (won $371).
The Atheist has a BB/100 of - 1.87 (lost $70).

What I've learned is that at these limits, at tables with a lot of inexperienced players or a lot of people who just like to call and see flops, pre-flop aggression is OK, but afterwards, you need to be very careful with the people who've called.

What I'm experimenting with now is bigger pre-flop raises and using continuation betting much more sparsely. I am also changing up my raises and limping a slight bit more than before with bigger hands.

Griffey thinks I'm still limping too much, but to get up to over 7% in the PFR category meant that I was raising with pairs down to 44 from any position. I am still playing a fairly loose style, in my books. I could probably tighten up a couple of percentage points.

I have completely rethought my goals, due mainly to the minimal amount of poker I can play, and am now hoping to double my bankroll every year. I have a lot of work to do to figure out how to get back to even at Full Tilt, but the bonus has proven a useful tool in experimenting with a much more aggressive persona than I had as Jiggus. But Jiggus was far more profitable. I think that, as Gordon notes in the Green book, being aware of slow playing opponents is going to serve me well at these Full Tilt micro limits. I've found that an incredible number of players slow play AA and KK at this site. I've been trapped a lot.

Anyhow, I thank you all for the advice in the past, and for the advice in the present at formatting, and I hope to continue a useful discussion now and then at this great site.

Oh, it doesn't mean that this conversation is ended. Just wanted to say thanks!
