Im playing the 25NL tables 6max on party tonight, and Ive been hitting great cards and up almost 75 bucks in the last 30 minutes. Heres the thing though: Most of my good hands have not gone down to showdown, the only thing my good hands have done is give me the confidence to keep betting. Whenever my hand hit, Id think "great, theyre gonna pay me off because of all these pots they think ive been buying" but then they fold on the river.

These tables are pushovers! If my cards had been pure garbage I think id still be up about 40 or 50 bucks. Just kinda realized how profitable a good table can be. I also wondered how much more money I could be making if I consistently found the right tables and picked the right spots to bluff.

Yea, theres always that chance but heres something Ive noticed - the times I have nothing and bet the pot and get a call or a raise I am able to get out without question.

When I do have something, they usually call down with any pair and pay me right back. When they have a monster, I can get away from TPTK when their first raise in the last hour is an allin on the river. And then they try checking to me on the river, but I just check behind and they show 3 of a kind. Sometimes when they check on the river, I see that I could have bet into them one last time but I make myself feel better and think they would have folded anyways.

So the chances of me getting crushed by a monster are about the same as in full ring - only when my middle set hits top set. Or I make stupid calls - which is still very possible.

Its unbelievable how great party 6max is. The people chase every gutshot, flush, or call middle pair to the end. Then they fold when you are behind and they call when you are ahead. The people get mad when they see you raising every KTo and taking 35% of the pots by force so they start chatting nasty and making bad calls....its juicy as a prostitutes infected vag - nevermind, its just juicy.

OK, I'm not the religious sort, but remember....

This is something that I've read a couple posts about, including the FTR main page with some of Tyson's comments.

Maybe some of the veterans can tell us about what they look for in a nice fishy table. High %ages to flop, High average pot, Low% to showdown? I'd guess that different numbers might mean different extraction approaches.
