This is the type of stuff you guys are missing who never come into IRC. The following is my analogy of why taking really aggressive lines with good hands on super safe boards isn't always best:

<spoonitnow> it's like if you see this girl you like right
<wellrounded> *has wife, but right.
<spoonitnow> and instead of taking your time trying to fuck her over the course of however much time it would take you to do that
<spoonitnow> you just walk up and you're like
<spoonitnow> hey bitch wanna fuck
<spoonitnow> if she says yes, you still can't be too happy with the result
<spoonitnow> because you're going to get aids
<spoonitnow> or something
<wellrounded> right. lol
<spoonitnow> it's a fucked up analogy but you get the idea
<wellrounded> deff.
<wellrounded> and if she says no... I just lost pusy value
<wellrounded> even pussy w/ two s's.
<spoonitnow> right because if you took a little time she might say yes
<spoonitnow> and if you take your time and she says yes, it's less likely she has aids
<wellrounded> beautiful
<spoonitnow> sometimes she's going to have aids
<spoonitnow> but you're improving your chances
<spoonitnow> getting laid w/o aids = +EV

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

Is slowplaying our set here the equivalent of putting a condom on?

No, the point is that the way we play the situation dictates the composition of Villain's range at showdown. It's like the most simple case of range manipulation perhaps?

An example from yesterday, and taking the analogy a step further.

Villain likes to come across as all virginal and pure, but i know what she's like deep down - all i need to do is play the charm card right....

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

CO ($251.80)
Button ($77.50)
Hero (SB) ($108.25)
BB ($183.15)
UTG ($99.20)
UTG+1 ($86.25)
MP1 ($111)
MP2 ($306.30)
MP3 ($175.30)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K, K
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $1, 1 fold, MP2 calls $1, MP3 raises to $5.50, 2 folds, Hero raises to $16, 3 folds, MP3 calls $10.50

Flop: ($35) 4, 7, K (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 checks

Turn: ($35) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $12, MP3 calls $12

River: ($59) 10 (2 players)
Hero bets $37, MP3 raises to $147.30 (All-In), Hero calls $43.25 (All-In)

Total pot: $219.50 | Rake: $3

Results
