I've always wanted to know how profitable MTTs were given that their rake (10%) is double what a normal ring game rake (5%) is.
After loading up my whole limit database my amount won is nearly equal to the total rake from the pots I've won. This was at limits .25/.50 to 5/10, mostly 2/4, over 40k hands.
I then opened my MTT spreadsheet and after 75 tournaments (not including freerolls) with buyins from $1-50 (almost all with a 10% fee), I am up $25.
Given this, without a rake it seems I am just as good at NL hold'em tournaments as I am at limit hold'em ring games.
Any thoughts on this, or similar experiences?

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

I know that. I don't play many tournies, which was why I asked for others' input.
