Aces and Kings UTG is tough. Easy to either just take down the blinds or trap yourself.

slow play bbbbaaaaaaaaaaaddddddddddddddd! at least for big pairs (IMHO).

in SNG land, AA or KK usually gets an 8 - 10 x BB PFR from me because of exactly what happened to you. just getting the blinds is better than getting cracked. and for the dumbass "crackers" - i really want to make them pay for the times my big pair holds up.

sorry about that max, don't give up, the odds are on our side.

i have a solution - limit your tourney play to FTR events. at least then, you won't be playing with morons.

IMO you should have given a bigger pre flop raise and then you should have raised the flop instead of the smooth call.

He was getting 5.5:1 odds to call your preflop raise, so putting him on a small PP was reasonable, especially with the chip lead.

I think a decent raise on the flop would have been good simply because the only way he calls is if he thinks he's got you beat, in which case you might put him on a big PP, Ax, or a set. If he folds, then you weren't gonna get many more bets out of him unless he had you beat anyway.

Course, I probably would have played it the same way.
