After taking nearly a year off and humbling myself a bit, I am back in the game. This time I am playing at Bodog, and while I think I have the skill to play 25NL, I am going to play 10NL exclusively until I have a bankroll of $400-500.

I bought in for $100 and am up to $150 currently (only a few hours of game-time.) I feel a lot more comfortable here because I can take some chances and see how people react and instead of just playing to "win money" I am going to play to gain experience and build the bankroll for higher limits.

So sorry for the little rant but I think I am in for the long-haul now. (hopefully!)

20x buy-in is a good bankroll to have for whatever limit you are playing, correct?
Liter of cola.

30x is better. Maybe I'm too conservative

20 BI is goot at low limits. It will greatly reduce your risk of ruin if you're a winning player.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

I remember you, you used to post quite a few hands (and bad beats!) in the SNG forum!

Good luck, it's good to have you back.

70x is better. Oh, wait, that's silly. Yes, 20x is fine for a winner, drop limits as necessary.

i like 15x up till 25nl, then 20x from 50 thru 100, then 30 for 200, and 50-100 for anything higher than 200

I would agree to most of this. At the higher limits it'll really come down to comfort and whether you play full time or still have a job. But at the lower stakes there really is no reason other than fear to not move up with 15-20 BI's

haha . . i always really liked this av too

anyway, it feels a lot more comfortable and stress-free now because i'm just playing for fun and building the bankroll

i'm going ot stay away from SNGs for awhile because thats where i tended to run into some of my worst bad beats . . plus i consider myself a better cash game player anyway

so i guess around $375-400 (15-16 BI's at 25NL) i should feel pretty safe moving up? i mean i used to play 25 with only 100-200 and even tried 50nl with 200 so i'de say 15x should be good enough

it's gonna take some work getting there playing at 10NL and Bodog isnt exactly my favorite site but it's something to pass the time and work at

ps: what are some of ya'lls favorite sites in wake of the law changes? i had a decent amount of money on pokerstars that went to waste after that change
